For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Helen P, thats great. I wonder who all our son is getting close to? Im sure they are all depending on each other. :) Now if we can just get an actual letter in the mail from him!! Waiting very impatiently for sure. Is this your first Navy experience?

Mandy_0329, yes we also talked to him on Saturday. My husband said he just sounded tired however, I think a moms heart can sense other things. For the most part, he sounded great, it was the first of the phone call, I think when he heard our voices and us his, that made that heart sinking moment take over. We still haven't received a letter though :( I am really hoping tomorrow or Friday for sure. This is very very hard. I think about him constantly. And I agree completely that keeping busy is the best. Just think, only 6 more Friday's til we see our kiddos!

Hello, My Son is in 305 and if I understand right 306 and 305 are together training lot of the time. I have commented several times on here to others but there are always so many conversations going on I get a little confused as to who and what I have commented on when I get on later. I work full time so I only have a limited time to access the site and groups so I kinda feel lost when I log on to read. I saw DIV 306 in your post and thought ..".ah ha, they have someone close to my Jacob". It excited me to see anyone who would have a loved one close to my son. He is going into Aviation Ordnance after RTC so that will take him to Pensacola for 9 weeks. What is your Daughter going to do after RTC?

Hobie that's awesome news!!! We too got our first letter today with 2 letters. Definitely a big difference from the 1st (it's awful) to the 2nd (I love my friends and division). :))) oh I miss him so much!!!! He said he has been praying so that made my weekend. ; ) such a proud moment.

J'sstepmon, so glad you received letters and 2 at that, awesome!!! My son said he was able to talk to a guy who is in his rating and gave him some awesome advise, that really brightened his day. He told him that his job is the best in the Navy, which got him really excited. This letter really put my mind at ease. Have a great day

Hobie, How wonderful of your sweet boy to help someone else? That must really boast your heart with pride. :) Who would have thought that going back to letter writing would be such a big part of our lives? The ease feeling is a definite in these situations.
