Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 291 and 292

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

My son is also on ship 14, Div 292:-). I'll be praying for all of your loved ones this week as they go through. BattleStations! May God watch over, strengthen, encourage every young man and woman. May they all pass with flying colors!!

There was a prayer that was posted that I have recited almost daily since bootcamp began and even though we are so close, those words are ringing more true every minute

Father, in the coming days, I will need You, but my recruit will need You more!
Let him perform his tasks with a sense of duty, not of anger or vengeance. Let his reflexes be quick and his hands steady. Let his head be clear and his eyes sharp. Let his mind and body be strong and his spirit stronger.

God, please stand by my recruit and watch his back when he cannot!
Father, I love this recruit of mine! Take from me what he needs and give me what he does not.

I will pace the nights, if it means he gets some sleep.
I will deal with fatigue, if it means he will have energy.
I will carry his fear, if it means it gives him courage.
I will take his pain, if it means he is healthy and whole.
I will take his anger, if it means he is at peace.
Take my love and pride and let him feel it!
Let him know that I am with him every step of the way!
Please, take from me what You can; I give it willingly and with love.
It is all I have besides my prayers.
Above all, please help my recruit to achieve his goal of becoming...
A United States Navy Sailor!

This I ask on bended knee, that which I cannot do without YOU

Amen

What an absolutely perfect prayer. Thank you for that. Very true words. Sorry I just saw you all here on the site. Don't know how I missed you. My son is in 14/292 and will be staying in GL for A school. We last heard from him on labor Day, I believe. He didn't mention the names of SRs he is friendly with. He's usually pretty quiet, so hopefully he has made some friends. In my letters, I told him that he could bring other SRs that may not have family coming to PIR. Hopefully, we will be able to adopt a couple.

My husband and I are excited about PIR. He's starting to worry and not sleep much. Guess I'm not doing much better; it's 3 am here. I'm just happy the hardest part is almost over.

In a little over a week, we will no longer have SRs, but have sailors.

Sending my thoughts, love and prayers to all our SRs.
Absolutely love that prayer!!! Thank you for sharing!!! My son is also on ship 15, div 292. I will be praying this over my son also as well as all his division!!!
Ship 14...not 15:-)

Good Morning All,

My SR (boyfriend)  is in Ship 14 Div 291! I am getting super excited about PIR. Since he left, I have been counting down the days. I feel so bonded with all of you even though I don't know you. I just wanted to say hey and introduce myself.

PS Does anyone else feel like they will remember their SR mailing address for life?

;-). Yep both super excited and will remember the address for a long time to come!!:-)

Anxiously awaiting the "I'm a Sailor" call...

May God watch over and strengthen our recruits during their BattleStations 21 testing tonight!!!! May they pass with excellence!!
