My recruit called yesterday stating that she did not pass and I received some good advice. But I had to cancel travel plans and hearing her tear up was very difficult for me because I know she works really hard. I am an emotional wreck and just need a friend to keep my spirits up because I was so looking forward to seeing her next week.

Shelly9514 I'm so sorry.  I'm worried about the same thing with my SR.  Hugs.

My thoughts are with you and prayers for your SR. Will she have another chance to pass? If so, does she know when this might be? I can only imagine how you are feeling, I will be on edge until the moment I get the I'm a sailor call. This is all truly an emotional roller coaster ride.
I'm soooo sorry! I thought that if they fail a part, they could get a chance to make it upthe week of PIR. I hope that your daughter gets that chance. My son failed his first two PFAs, I am waiting on pins and needle t find out if he passed the final one. I pe you will get happier news in the next dew days!!

Shelly:  When you say she didn't pass, you mean her final PFA (fitness test)?  If that is what she didn't pass, she should have more tries before PIR....at least through Mon and Wed (if she needs Wed).  I'm sorry you cancelled your travel plans since I am hoping she makes it!  She would call you when she passed, and can do BattleStations the night before PIR if necessary.  This happens to some in every PIR group, but most will pass before PIR.  Hoping that your daughter is one of them and you can get there for PIR!  Prayers....if she doesn't pass by her PIR, she stays in FIT and keeps trying....gets about 12 more tries, 3 times a week, I believe.  Then she would pass, do BattleStations with another PIR group, and head to A School, no PIR.  But she would get some Liberty after BattleStations before heading to A School if you could make it there to see her.  But lets hope she passes this week and is at PIR....and that you will be there too!

Thanks Dianne. I pray she passes and graduates with her group. It is a 9 hr drive but it would be worth it to see her. Thanks again.

Still no word from my SR on if she passed or failed. No I'm a sailor call. Graduation is scheduled for Friday and part of me wants to come anyway but would it be worth the trip? But I really don't know what to do. How do you handle all the stress?
