GROUPS: Listed by Name of US Naval Ships (actual US Naval vessels in service)
Looking for other Navy For Moms members with sailors on the same ship/boat?
Here is a list in alphabetical order by name of ship. List doe NOT include groups with fewer than 3 members and/or groups which have been inactive in the last 8 months. Cllckable links have been provided. Just click on the name of the ship. Please post a comment if I missed your sailor's ship (with a link, if possible). Please note that if your son/daughter is in boot camp, his/her barracks are named after ships. This list refers to the REAL thing - with sailors, guns, etc.

Checked the information on the ships as they are listed with the Naval Vessel Register. You'll find it quite interesting.

Spammers do not come back and look for replies, "Cheryl" is working out of some third world country and gets paid for posting. There is a decent chance the post is copy and paste, they may not even read or speak English well. Take the username, scroll to the bottom of the page and hit "Report an Issue".
A reminder that this site is wide open to ANYONE ANYWHERE in the world.
(I moderate a board where I can see the IP addresses. I can assure you, this is not someone working in the US, I have seen the form at on a regular basis and recognize the spam pattern)
Cheryl59- Either you have been spammed or you are not a Navy Mom. Please delete this ridiculous comment that you made with a link. I assume it has a virus attacked to it.
Lavenderlady,
No one has started a group for those with sailor on the USS North Carolina SSN 777, which is port in Hawaii. I assume you have a son on this boat, right? Please join the Sub Moms group and post a comment.
http://navyformoms.com/group/submoms?
Did your son gave you the name of the ombudsman? If yes, contact her and ask if there is a secret Facebook group for this boat. My son was on a sub and the ombudsman created a secret FB group for the loved ones.
Good luck.
Try searching within GROUPS. Click GROUPS, then in the search box, input the keywords "USS James E. Williams" and see what comes up. There is not a group started for those on the USS James E Williams, you might find individuals. You could contact those individuals and see who is interested in forming a group. You might post a comment on the group Destroyer Moms.
Dear Navy Moms,
Many groups have not been active recently; however, if you (or a group of you) decide to start a group for your sailor's boat please post the name and link here and I will update the list above. Use the format on the above list as your guide. Below link to the official listing
This list above references actual boats/ships with guns, sailors etc.
Remember if your son/daughter is in BOOT CAMP, the "ships" are names given to barracks. Go to your PIR group for more info.
