Hi my son leaves for boot camp on October 7th, 2014. Anyone else out there with that date? I am already starting to have some anxiety. Excited for him- for the next chapter of his life but my heart is feeling broken.

Hi Freebird - My son left Oct 8th and is also going for a mineman.
Hi, my son will also be leaving on October 7th...1 week from today!! I am feeling like you Sherri, very happy and excited for him but very emotional especially since it is almost time for him to leave. He will be going to San Antonio after boot camp.
Do the kids that leave for boot camp Oct 6th through the 10th graduate together?
My son leaves October 7th as well! So many mixed emotions as the time gets closer. I miss him already and he's not gone yet.
Good Evening,
I shopped for the perfect Blue Candle this evening to light for my son while at basic training. I must admit, I got a bit carried away and purchased way more than I needed, but was thinking of all of the mom's sending their sons off next week and decided I will light candles for your sons as well. Godspeed until we meet at PIR.
I just learned about the blue candles and will be going shopping. I love the idea. I am going to bring my daughter to help pick them out. Monday is coming too soon.
I would appreciate it if you would light one for my son! Thank you and till we meet in December! Prayers, thoughts, love and support for us and our recruits.
Done Sherri, I will post a photo of candles each night as I can. Godspeed.
