Thank you!  I can tell it will and it is what he really wanted to do no one can prepare you for them actually leaving though.

My son arrived at BC on Oct 1st. I'm guessing they are in the same group. We got a quick call that night. Looking forward to more news. Feel like I won't sleep till PIR! Good luck to you!!

We will keep in touch for sure!! Will post when my sons PIR is.

Me!! Miss him very much but so very proud of him and excited for this new chapter in his life.

I am so many emotions at once they are calming down but proud is on the top of the list for sure.

My sailor sons best friend left shipped to basic on OCT.2nd..Trying to get his mother to join Navy Moms but her internet access on her phone acts up..

I hope she can the support on here is awesome!

As I am new to this not sure how to do that but will try, lol!

Better day today have been writing my letters and getting my family to do the same.  I know I can't mail them out yet but at least I have them started.

My son left 10/2, as well... still waiting for the box and form letter... we are in Colorado, so might take a little longer.

The box came today! All it had in it was his sweatshirt, sneakers, some coins and his used plane ticket. Guess he gave the rest of his clothes away. It was great to have a piece of him though :)  My son left Oct 1st so you should be getting yours soon too.

Ladies have you received the box? Got it two days ago everyone was excited lol it is getting easier day by day.
