Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 025 and 026

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Happy Wednesday to all of my new best friends for the next several weeks! Let's get this discussion started!!

How certain are we that the PIR is 11/26/14, and will they be able to spend Thanksgiving with their families?  Also, those who are going to school in Florida, when will they have to leave.  Finally, any suggestions on hotels in the area?

Pretty certain. I asked my son's recruiter because I expected the ceremony to be on a Friday. They told me to go by the date on the letter. Then i sent an email and found out they leave Friday for A school. They do get to hang out with us on Thanksgiving. My concern is what to do when everything will likely be closed.

My son will be at Fort Meade. Booked hotel and air today!!! Div 025 :)
Joke exciting right!! Same Div for my son. Got the hotel and travel was able to take enough time live pretty far but my smart kid also put my dad as a guest so got my parents travelling with us too, happy for my pops Army vet. Can't wait to meet you all. "those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles, they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint." Isaiah 40:31.

How awesome for your Dad - I know that will be so special for your SR, too.  Still need to work on car rental and Thanksgiving dinner, but at least we will get there and have a place to sleep!

Good morning Nicks Mom Div 025. How exciting.
Gi Proudgrandmom if you got the Form letter the divisions will graduate on that date. If for some reason your SR is held back you will get a call that could be anything like getting sick, failing a test and so on. With that in mind I'm confident the group will all graduate together and why not its our kids in there! Hotels there is quite a few Residence Inn has the kitchenette, Navy Lodge but you gave to call to make the reservations. There are other Springhill suites, red carpet inn, Days Inn, Sleep Inn, Courtyard, Ramada....I am sure there is more lol!! Happy to have you in the group what div? We also do get Wed and Thursday with our SR of course taking them back before curfew and we can meet them at the airport on Friday to see them off.
So where are your SR going after BC? My kiddo is going to Pensacola for his A school.

My son is going to Pensacola as well. Div 026. Yes, this is very exciting but going to be a long road ahead but I'm confident they will all do well. I just booked my hotel, I'm starting to calm down a bit now that I can make travel plans.

I'm curious, are you going to rent a car or taxi it? And, what is your thoughts for Thanksgiving (besides being thankful we get our kids!) I am trying to decide if I should make reservations at a restaurant or what?

We are staying at Residence Inn they have a kitchenette, I am leaving it up to my boy I'm thinking he is going to want a home cooked meal plus the New Mexican cooking lol Chile, homemade tortillas, we will see. I am just so happy to see him.
