Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 011 and 012

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Thank you for starting this. Just wanted to say I am here and I noticed :) Miss my SR-hoping he didn't break his writing hand as I have not received a personal letter yet. Did get a phone call 10/05 though :)

I have yet to get a letting either. I'm waiting he said on 10/11 that he should be able to send one that week
I too am waiting for a letter. When I talked to him he was working on one just doesn't have alot of time. I can't wait for graduation.

I haven't received a letter yet either, but I am hopeful I will have one soon.

Hi Everyone! My son is in Div 12. I hope you all receive your letters soon!

My son is in Division 12 as well...I sent him 8 phone cards that I received from callsforrecruits.org. I told him to share some of the phone cards with those in his division...

Got my letter on the 9th...and by letter I mean paragraph.  Short, sweet and sincere...just like my SR.  LOL He's in DIV 011.

I just saw some not so great reviews for the hotel we booked and wanted to ask if anyone is staying at the Navy Lodge.  Looks like there are still openings and think I will be switching.  Anyone know how to do it?  Heard you have to give your SR's name.

I'm excited to see him again.  I've sent 20 letters/postcards already.  I think they disallow phone service to prop up the Post Offices revenue.  I'm heading out tomorrow to get more stamps.  Hope you're all hanging in.  Hooyah!!

I just booked at Navy Lodge tonight. Ihad some questions so it was easier to call. Asked male or female recruit, not sure why, and their name, along with mine,my phone, address and email, and credit card number. Not charged until that day, call before 6 pm to cancel, and no penalty.
I agree on the Post office. Maybe used one stamp a year until he left.

Thanks for the information.  I'll call them on my lunch tomorrow.  Do you happen to have the number handy??

Hi there,
My son is in div 11. Good to meet others here. I haven't made any flight arrangements yet. The difference in fares for a refundable ticket is almost doubled, so I'm waiting a bit.
I haven't received a personal letter or phone call but his girlfriend has. It doesn't sound like they get much time for letter writing.
My boyfriends is div 11 also. And he said they don't get a lot of time but he was working on one and it would hopefully be sent out Tuesday since Monday was a holiday. So I'm hoping for a letter this week :)
