Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 025 and 026

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Got a couple of calls lucky on one hand as my SR rate is CTR and has a high security clearance and has needed information I feel blessed to have had several calls. Today he sounded down, he said he was catching a cold had phlegm but otherwise he is enjoying it. Says yes he gets IT everyone does sometimes individual sometimes the whole division. All part of the process. On the bright side ladies: 37 days left!!

Rephrase my SR is going through the process of getting his Security clearance so he needs alot of information that I have had to research he doesn't have it yet although I did get an email stating they got everything.  We will see how it goes!

That's great :-)

The actual process can go well into "A" school. My son had a Secret clearance and his did. There are three types, Confidential, Secret and Top Secret. They depend on your rating (job) and assignment.

Yes he will have to continue into A school. His rate is CTR. I am just grateful to be able to talk to him.

Those extra calls are a blessing. Congrats :-)

I've gotten those extra call as well for the same reason but I'm not sure if it was a good thing. I've been able to talk to him four times already to include the "I'm here" call and the division phone call. The first call left me feeling devastated because of how bad he sounded, the next one he still sounded down, the most recent call this past Monday he sounded better, didn't sound happy by any means but at least spoke with a little more clarity and seems to have calmed down. I'm hoping by the next phone call or letter he sounds much better. I thank God for my support system and hope these days go by quickly.
I am sorry Nicksmom. I can only imagine how you feel. I pray that he gets peace.

Has anyone heard of any local events for Thanksgiving day there? I am trying to figure out what we are going to do that day. It seems someone said that the VFW did something last year. I was just curious if anyone else knows. Can't wait to see my sailor! :)

Just got a phone call, he sounds SOOOOO much better, I'm so happy!
Yay!!! Me too heart is happy!!! PIR here we come!

Where is everyone going for Thanksgiving dinner, I'm still trying to decide. The Residence Inn suggested Anastasia's, any thoughts on that? I wanted to order in or cook in our suite but I'm starting to rethink that, seems as if we have a larger group than I anticipated. Also, is there anyone in this group that reserved the conference room at the Residence Inn. I called to see if I could reserve a space and was told it was already reserved, I was just wondering if it was somebody in our group that might be willing to split the cost. Or thinking that maybe we could do a group dinner for the SR's staying at Residence Inn and all split the cost. Just throwing ideas around but certainly don't want to impose.

I am currently looking for a restaurant to have Thanksgiving too. My SR wants to go out. I am looking on Trip Advisor. Lots of places.
