Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 003 and 004

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Definitely!!

Hello Meandap! We seem to be in the same boat. My son is one of three and the first to really fly the coup. Must have cried the whole first week and most of the second. It's my understanding we won't be hearing much from our SRs for the next three weeks. Guess we will just be counting the days.

Hello, my son is also on Ship 11 Div 003. I have received letters from my son on the last two Thursdays.   He says on Sundays they have 45mins to write. On Mondays is when his have been post marked. Also have received phone calls on the previous Saturdays exception for this past Saturday. But his girlfriend had told me that he had called her on Thursday. So I'm guessing he's already used his call for the week  :( I wish when their told they can have their phone privilage that they were told ahead of time how long they have to be on the phone. That way he could split his time between two calls and we both get time to speek to him. Maybe I'm being a little selfish of wanting the time to talk with him more but I miss my son. He's the first of my three boys to leave home. He is missed so much and can't wait to see him!!

my Recruit told me that even though he is allowed only 4 guests inside the facility that others may watch the graduation online in another facility.  Is this accurate information? This would be a big help to us as a family tremendously.

I believe I've read they can watch the livestream in the Chapel.

I'm not going to get to see my son graduate next month do health reasons (having surgery). Wish parents could watch the graduation ceremony online. If anyone comes  across any information that says that's possible could you let me know. I think we can order a video afterwards I think but I'm not sure how long those take.

Mmssm93432, You can watch it online, from this website.  I think the link is on the main page on Fridays.  I watched last Friday, just click on the section that says watch PIR live and enlarge it to the full screen.  The picture is very clear! Someone may know for sure where the link is located.

I watched the graduation on there today, just wanted to get an idea of whats to come

Has any moms received calls from their recruits within the last week or so who are on ship 11 div 003? Haven't heard from my son lately :(

Unfortunately, I have not heard from my son in a couple of weeks. I did receive a letter this past weekend mentioning this week being "Hell Week". From what I understand, the calls will be almost non-existent until week 7.

So I received my sons letter today. He stated that he won't get another phone call again until after Battle Stations which is week 6.

Rec'd a letter today ... keep looking !
