Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 003 and 004

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

I received a rather short letter from my son today.  He implied Hell Week would be over Wednesday (yesterday). He is in Div 003 and stated they are working well together and they did the Marlinspike in 19 minutes with NO safety violations. Apparently they have to prepare a ship to go to sea and dock it in 25 minutes. They have firefighting and then Battle Stations coming up and I don't expect to get a phone call until then.

Thanks for sharing that information. Exciting that they are working well together. This will be crucial as they move forward.

Heard from my SR today via letter Div 04.

He said Monday (10/20) starts hell week, Monday (10/20) physical re-test.

Learned he will be leaving for South Carolina Nov 15 abt 1-3am
thinks he'll be home for Thanksgiving & Christmas - but very short trip.
:)

Ok, I am having trouble seeing recent posts, for some reason, so excuse me if this was already mentioned...but wanted to make sure everyone here is also on the facebook page for our PIR.  Actually there are two (that I know of).  The one NOT marked "new" has a link on it to the blood drive our SRs participate in.  Yesterday Divs 003 and 004 had their pics posted.  Not a great pic, but better than nothing!

Teesmama can you please tell me where the pictures are posted at. Thanks

Good question, sailor4.  LOL  I had trouble getting to the actual picture.  I think it is not easily accessed for privacy reasons.  I'll see if I can put it as a link here, but don't know if it will work.  I think you have to be a member of facebook page "PIR 11-14-14 NAVY BOOT CAMP" which is a closed group.  So if you have not joined that, you may have to be accepted first.  It's a good group to join, lots of good info, like here.  :)   A post on 10/27 by Jeff Diffy has this link:  Blood drive photos are up www.facebook.com/events/635167143265964?id=635167389932606&ref=...                      Once you get to the linked photo, click on the photo that says "ASBP" , then click on the line beside the photo which says "blood drive for 003 & 004" and that takes you to the actual photos.

Whew!  Sorry that was so long.  Complicated process but well worth it to see our Little Darlings!  LOL

Hi - My son is in Ship 11 Div 003 - they call him "Boston"  Nice to meet you folks.  I can't wait to get another phone call.  He sounded a little tired in his last letter but still motivated.

Hi Nanikate...my son is on ship 11 div 003 as well. I'm patiently waiting for his next phone call too. He said it wouldn't be until week six. Miss hearing my boys voice!!

Hi Sailor4 and Nanikate!  There are more moms since the last time I was on here from Shiop 11 Div. 003. It's awesome.  Every word and moment on here is such a comfort. It make me feel less like a neurotic Mom because we are all going thru this together.  I am so sad to be missing the upcoming graduation. If there are any moms out there  going that could give my sailor a hug from me I would be incredibly grateful.

Hi ladies!  So  sorry to have dropped off the last couple of weeks. My lumpectomy turned into  a modified  Mastectomy and I'm so slow to  bounce back.  After three weeks I finally got a letter from my son. It was like Christmas opening the letter !

So sorry you are having to go through that.  Especially right now.  But glad you got a letter.  We are almost through!
