We are a C-130J maintenance unit from Littlerock Air force Base. We
have a lot of new faces here but for most it's not the first deployment.
This is my second time to Bagram and 3rd deployment to Afghanistan. The
tempo here has slowed down a bit as forces start to draw down towards the
end of the year. Our C-130Js do missions from picking up med evac patients
to prisoner transport. Along with moving cargo and troops in and out of the
AOR. From time to time we will help out other units with maintenance as well
for transient aircraft that break down here. We are a total of 99 members, including 4 females,
and are to do rotate back sometime in late March.
Our full unit title is
455th EAMXS C-130J Aircraft Maintenance Squadron.

As for a list I asked around today and this is what I got.

I'm in! It sounds like that they need some MOM love for the holidays!

I'm in also. Will check my loot and see what I already have.

I am in!

If I can ship from Amazon, is it too early if it goes now?  I'm just afraid the games won't be available if I wait till closer to x-mas

I just ordered 2 games ( Gears of War 3 & Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas 2 ) to be sent from smile.amazon.  Also a little mac & cheese snack while playing.  I know they're going early but I'd rather early than not available due to Christmas shoppers.

Is this group made up of Sailors at an Air Force base? I think I am confused.

Hi leach73 don't worry it does get confusing !
No this is a group of Air force members out of Little Rock Ak .
This is their units 2nd deployment to Bagram.

Anything you need to know about it just pm me :)

Sheryl, I just received 5 big boxes filled with bags of candy from a local elementary school and tons of cards & letters to send.  I also have lots & lots of cards & letters from the community Pumpkin Palooza event and Harmony Healthcare patients ready to go.  I also will be sending a bunch of holiday decorations.  I don't know how many flat rate boxes it will be yet - I'm packing them weekend.  I'll let you know how many boxes it totals.

Way to go Dana!!!

That's fantastic Dana!
Isn't it amazing how generous folk are :)

I m off to get boxes this morning as my ordered boxes won't now arrive until Tuesday !!! I had baked goods dropped off yesterday , books and coffee pods this morning . It's great .
Have a good weekend everyone .

Have one box of pillowcases, gum, mints and only one Uno game packed and shipped off this morning.  Next week, my sailor----yes, MY sailor, and I will pack some controllers and Xbox One games and ship them out.

Then, (sigh,) we will ship out the sailor.

Sheryl, I ordered 4 dodge balls, a ball inflator, 4 ping pong paddles with a dozen extra balls and some protein powder from smile.amazon through iGive.com and had them shipped directly to our POC. I have cup o soup, mac-n-cheese cups, chips, jerky, candy and some other snacks to send. A young lady and her 4 year old daughter made some Christmas pictures to send also. I will be at Fort Benning and Fort Stewart this week. I fly out super early Monday morning and get back late of Friday so I will ship those items as soon as I can. (Sorry they will be late)
