Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 033 and 034

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

My son is Ship 14 Div 033 also. Have gotten several letters and a few calls, the best one being last Friday (11/7) saying they had done so well on their inspections that day that they were allowed a phone call and an energy drink!! He said they were on day 4-1 then and this was the beginning of a tough week. All calls from here on in had to be earned. He was sick, like everyone else, but still sounds great! Less than a month ladies and we'll be seeing them! Any one else have a son going to A school in Pensicola?

My nephew is div 14 033. He has been ill also and had pink eye! Says he is trying to tough it out though. Lots of things ahead, gas chamber, ammunition training and lots of inspections. He sounds positive and remains on course.

Can someone give me more info on the meet and greet? Does everyone go? Do we have to rsvp to this event? Time and place. Thank you.

@sailor sam My son is Ship 14 Div 033 as well.... I got that same call  and he told me "Mom I'm drinking an energy drink" haha made me smile =) glad our kiddos are doing well. Thank God. He too is sick, but it seem to be getting better!

Hello all, I'm Brittany, my boyfriend is ship 14 division 033... I just wanted to be a part of this group so I could talk to others who have similar situations as me or have heard similar things from their sailors and maybe get some advice along the way.

My boyfriend is also on Ship 14 Division 033! :)

I haven't received a letter or phone call from my SR in 3 weeks. I am starting to worry but I know "no news is good news" but I still wonder if the DIV is staying in trouble since no contact. Any other SR's in DIV 34 not getting contact?

I got a call 2 weeks and a letter this past Thursday. He said that this week was Hell week and had to earn calls from now on.

My son is in div 28 and no call in 3 weeks too! I was thinking the same thing about the division.

I got two letters this last Thursday.1st letter says they're having trouble doing cadence and marching together. All had to stand at attention for two hours without moving.Brutal as my Sailor put it. 2nd letter upbeat and quite optimistic! He said they were all starting to get it and work as a cohesive unit.He said hell week is coming up and a lot of training. He said not to expect another call until Thanksgiving and the last one when he's officially a Sailor. He would try to write once a week but this is difficult with all that has to be done.I write him or send him a card almost daily.I was worried this was overbearing.I was assured by my Sailor that my letters are often the only bright point of a day. It's also there only reading material.Ladies, write often. They have appointed mail time and many of the sailors receive no mail. They have to sit and watch while the others read there cherished letters.REMEMBER 21 DAYS UNTIL GRADUATION...3 MORE FRIDAYS TO GO....
