Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 023 and 024

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Good afternoon ladies!  Happy Veteran's Day to those of you who have served or have other family members who have!  Thank you for your commitment to defend and protect this wonderful country!

Has anyone heard when the Wacky Wednesday pics will be posted?  Addgrey...again...THANK YOU for being so dedicated and getting in all the right answers!  I just looked at the FB page, for USNRTC and they posted the previous week's winner's pics on 11/4, Tuesday, but addgrey's div choice.  If anyone catches it will you let us know?!? BTW addgrey, my momma's birthday is the 7th :) Lots of great people born on that day! Happy belated to him!!

Can you all believe we are two weeks away?!? Kudos to those of you who have packed already :) I haven't even gotten out my winter clothes yet...ugh!!

I was sure hoping it would be today, based on the previous weeks. But, maybe whoever posts them is not working today because of Veterans's Day? I have looked at the page at least 25 times today :0) I just hope they didn't forget us with all the hoopla that took place afterwards. :0( I had to get my winter clothes out because it dropped from the 60's to the 20's QUICK yesterday in Colorado Springs! Hope your mom had a great birthday! For my son's birthday I had a bunch of friends and family send me pictures of what they did to celebrate his birthday and made a collage that I sent him... it turned out really funny (including a picture of his stepdad in a bikini... LOL... before he left his brother and friend said they were going to send him pictures of them in bikinis to embarrass him in basic, but they never followed through... my husband is always up for any crazy thing I ask him to do- haha!) The other funny thing is that I put a picture of his girlfriend right next to that picture... so, he can't show the other guys a picture of his girlfriend without having to show the scary picture of his stepdad next to it- haha!... hope he enjoyed it!

OOPS!  Thought I had done a good job of proof reading...should read "NOT addgrey's div choice...

Anyone get a call today? I see ship 12 is calling- not sure if ours did, too?

Dont worry he did NOT call the girlfriend! ;)
My son has not called me. Is the phone call close since they are calling? Or is our division not doing well so they did not get to call?

OK good to hear! (well, not good that they didn't get to call)... I bet they just couldn't all call today due to the availability of phones and so many people... let's hope! I usually don't get my letters until Thursdays- so, if anyone hears sooner how they are doing, please post!

This week I am assuming letters will arrive Friday since there was no mail today right?

addgrey: OK that is flipping HILARIOUS!!  I guess he'll learn his lesson about calling the girlfriend, and not the momma!!  I bet you would have paid money to see his face, when he opened it up!!  Too funny...

Nothing on FB yet, ahhhhhhh!!  I'll have to practice my yoga breathing (except I don't DO YOGA!)  If anyone gets a glimpse of the kiddos please shout out...I can't get to a computer often, but I get the updated comments on my phone.  THANK YOU!!

I understand what you mean about the quick weather change.  Yesterday, in Austin, we dropped from 64 (starting temp for my 5:45am workout) to 49 degrees by 6:10!!  Yeah, I was the dummy out there in shorts too :)  I'm from Buffalo originally...but we've been in Austin for 15 years...I am a cold weather wimp now :(  Hopefully we'll have some fluke warm front blow through Great Lakes the week of Thanksgiving (fingers crossed!)

Glad you enjoyed ;0) I keep smiling just thinking about him opening it...

My daughter Ship 11 Div 024. I just received a letter! They passed all the inspections! They did very well last week! My SR was promoted to RCPO! She will be the one making the calls as they march carring the cutlass!? I'm so so proud of her! I knew she would do great, but she's doing even better then expected. Her RDC did pull a prank on her! Let's just say she had a roller coaster week and came out on top!

Great news Cari!

Thank you! I'm so proud I want to cry!!!!
