Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 023 and 024

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Congrats...that's outstanding!  :)

My son called! The call was less than 1 minute (confirming who was coming to graduation), but I did get to sneak in a question and ask him if anyone had taken their pictures lately and he said yes- they took some a couple days ago and then were supposed to take another one tomorrow... so, maybe we will get to see a picture this week on Facebook!

Shhh... still hopeful here ;0)

The letter I received today said they took yearbook pics.
Yes I did get it today, Wed. I live in Illinois, only 3 hours from her!

That is GREAT news Cari and addgrey!!!  I hate to admit (but I will) I was a little disappointed (after all addgrey's hard work) that no pics were posted on FB.  But, Wow!  Our sons and daughters are doing well AND we are sure to see them soon.  :)  Thanks for sharing your news, made my day   :)

I've lost track of a few things so, didn't know if any of you had already bought a little something for your sailors to be.  I ordered a challenge coin for my son for pirgifts.com.   I think all the "ships" are all now available.  They were still in the creating stage when my oldest when through boot but, his ship (Hopper) coin was designed just in time to receive before I flew out for PIR.  He loved it.  The coin of our ship (Kearsarge) just arrived in the mail.  Nice weight and excellent detail.

addgrey: YAY you finally got to talk to your boy!!!  Even 1 minute is awesome :)  I haven't checked FB today...need a "kid fix" soon, sure do miss her!!  Less than two weeks though, right?!?

i ran to check!!  Div 023 is not in there.  at least I cannot see my son.  :(((((((((((

has addgrey seen it yet??????

Oh my gosh I didn't realize how much I was counting on seeing him in the picture!  I am broken hearted! :(((

Picture just got posted! https://www.facebook.com/NavyRecruitTrainingCommand/photos/np.25294... My son is front and center (just right of center) with a big smile, too! :0)

addgrey: OHMYGOSH!!!!! THANK YOU, thank you again!!  They all look SO GOOD....and the smiles!  I'm losing it right now...don't know how I'll make it through PIR :)   TOTALLY MAKES MY WEEK!!
