Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 019 and 020

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

I got a call from my daughter at work around 4:50! She is division 019. I'm not supposed to take calls at work so I had to run to the ladies room LOL. She sounded great. Only wants me to bring her cellphone to graduation.Says the Navy has given them so much stuff she can't fit another thing.

I got a call from my son in div020 on the 23rd it was my birthday and made it more special - best gift I ever received .  I was at work also , call rec same time , I made an announcement to my boss, I said I am sorry for the personal phone call but its my son from boot camp and call must be taken ,lol.

I know it so exciting when they call , it brightens their day and our . my son  is in your daughters div , hopefully we can meet at PIR. I miss him so much very proud of all of them - he is my only child.(now a man)

Hi everyone. My son is in Div 020. I am trying to read up on PIR and make sure we are prepared. Does anyone have suggestions on where to find more information on PIR? I can't wait to see him!!!

Hey all, my son is Div 020 and is staying at Great Lakes for A School.  Some of your loved ones are too.  Anybody know what to expect over the holiday weekend if your loved one is staying at Great Lakes for A School?  If we get a hotel in the area through Sunday, will we be able to see our son Friday, Saturday and Sunday?   Also, somebody mentioned a meet-n-greet on the 25th?  This is the first I've heard of it. What's that all about?

Inquiring Mind
I'm not sure about staying at Great Lakes for A school and what that means for graduation weekend but for the Meet and Greet, go to the Events tab and scroll to the bottom. There is a link for the 11/25 where you can RSVP if you want to go. From what I understand it's very informative about what to expect the next day and what our recruits have been thru for the last nine weeks. I know you posted that in Monday so maybe you already got your answer but I didn't see any replies so hope that might help a little.

InquiringMind:  You may have had this answered already, but for those sailors staying in GL for A School.....they will move over there as a group shortly after PIR is over....then you pick them up there (takes a few hours to move) and have until about 9 or 10 that night with them (your sailor will know).  They have to return to base at night.  BUT....the even better news is that you will then have Thanksgiving Day, Friday, Sat. and Sun. with your sailor!  Again, returning to base each night but lots of time!

Please be sure to bring questions like this to the main PIR page where we N4Moms veterans can see them.  We don't have time to regularly check the division groups so we miss questions there....we are on anywhere from 6-8 PIR groups at a time so there just isn't time!

For those with sailors flying out, they most likely will fly out on Friday, possibly Sat., so families will have Wed after PIR and Thanksgiving Day with them (returning to base at night).  Then airports visits with them on Friday.

jomac:  Be sure to check out CatMom's "PIR Pertinent Tips" discussion at the top of the PIR page.  Lots of info there!

If any of you know when your divisions are doing BattleStations, can you friend request that info to me?  We can't post it here, but can friend request/private message it.  I don't have to accept the friend request to see the info if you do it that way....just add it to the friend request before sending.  Thanks!  I have a good idea when they go, but need confirmation.  Thanks!

Seeking emergency info please help daughter in distress please contact to assist me frustrated mother.
