We are a C-130J maintenance unit from Littlerock Air force Base. We
have a lot of new faces here but for most it's not the first deployment.
This is my second time to Bagram and 3rd deployment to Afghanistan. The
tempo here has slowed down a bit as forces start to draw down towards the
end of the year. Our C-130Js do missions from picking up med evac patients
to prisoner transport. Along with moving cargo and troops in and out of the
AOR. From time to time we will help out other units with maintenance as well
for transient aircraft that break down here. We are a total of 99 members, including 4 females,
and are to do rotate back sometime in late March.
Our full unit title is
455th EAMXS C-130J Aircraft Maintenance Squadron.

two boxes of pillow cases and decorations sent out Friday

Well 23 more boxes packed up this afternoon . I can't thank my 3 new neighbors and daughter enough .

Pat l. I am asking for Kevin to take photos like last time ,opening the boxes :)

Fabulous Sheryl, I have 17 boxes being picked up by the post office tomorrow (containing 100 Christmas stockings!).

They sure are going to feel the love!!

4 boxes from tn of homemade goodies and candy.  Drink mixes too.

Sheryl, the count came to 10 boxes of 130 individual bags of candy from Plume Elementary.  Chock full of candies - you can tell the kids loaded the bags up themselves...hahaha...their favorite treats.  So sweet.  3 boxes of Christmas ornaments.  2 boxes full of cards!!!  Total 15 boxes.  Some of the most amazing cards/letters from the kids and all the community elderly care facilities.  Awww...they will be so surprised.

A box of snacks is shipping out tomorrow!

Sheryl, Our Navy Mom friend, Jackie, in Florida mailed 22 boxes today! Those kids in A-stan are going to have a Merry Christmas INDEED!!!

I know some of the contents are Christmas lights and ornaments for their tree (due to arrive Dec. 15)

We wish you a Merry Christmas, We wish you a Merry Christmas, We wish you a Merry Christmas from all of your Moms!!!!!!

We have received a thank you!!!!

Thank you very much for the care packages and letters! I have nearly a hundred personnel working for me here at Bagram AB, Afghanistan and every package and letter we receive brings a little bit of home to a pretty dreary place. Especially with the holiday season approaching, your letters truly mean a lot. I have attached a picture of our unit as a small way of saying thanks! Take care and have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
