Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 023 and 024

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Thank you addgrey....hugs and safe travels to you!   :)      And, I am so thankful to have a picture of him and his division!!!     :)

@2ndtimearound- any news?

Hey Bookster,

His run was today but, I haven't had an update yet.  He called yesterday and was able to talk to me and his big brother.  I will keep expecting to hear from him every day   :)

New to the group...did anyone hear if all the recruits made PiR on Wed? Son is on ship 11 div 023
That is great that you got to talk to him! How did he sound? Was he calmer and ready?

It was great to be able to talk.  When he called Saturday with the news an RDC was with him, instructing him on what to say.  So, at least yesterday we had some time.  He said he was embarrassed to have not passed.  His brother and I tried to ease his mind and build him back up.  I'm writing letters again and found a quote from Michael Jordan:      "I've missed more than 9000 shots in my career.  I've lost almost 300 games.  26 times I've been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed.  I've failed over and over and over again in my life.  And that is why I succeed."

It motivated me....do you think it would encourage or...?

It's perfect!!! and you know what I was thinking and thinking (since before considering if my son didn't pass) this is not high school or a comp soccer team or anything like that. They aren't immature anymore. Where before they would taunt and tease, now they are a family and they all struggled to get through it. I hope he was treated with respect and good wishes from all of them. My son was saddened to tell me one of the guys didn't make it. Because they are all each other's guys now. So I really hope that was not an issue for him, to have to deal with his fellow SR's.

Oh good!  I put it in todays letter and then, hours later, thought, hmmm...maybe I shouldn't have   :)    He didn't mention that anyone in the division gave him a hard time.  I'm sure most wouldn't.  They do tend to support and look out for one another.

No other ship had as much activity as ours did as far as comments!  WE rock ladies!  Safe travels to all, 2ndtimeAround you will be in all of our minds tomorrow :) Let us know what happens with your son please.

We DO rock!!!  Thank you all for the love and support you've shared with me and my son.  Big hugs to all of you!!!  We'll get through; I'm looking forward to sharing when we do  :)

Yay!  Me too, time to shake it off and charge forward.  I'm glad the quote sounds like it will hit the mark.  Brrr....I hope you bundle up (especially so early tomorrow morning).  lol

I'm so jealous of everybody that is already there! I haven't even boarded my plane yet. Can we post pictures on this forum? If you guys meet each other at the meet and greet can you put a picture here so those of us not there can see you.
