Welcome to the Division Discussion for Division 806

Be very aware when posting about your SRs who are in this division. Make sure you read the OPSEC rules (everyone should).

sjtina, cor and a couple more ladies will be joining this discussion to answer your questions about the "800" division.

Although your SR is still in BC, what they are doing may be slightly different from what the other divisions in this training group are doing. It is also recommended that you go into your "settings" (clickable link on the right side) and change your privacy setting to "private" and change everything to friends only.

Please still use the main wall to post general questions, and concerns, such as meet and greet questions etc. Specific questions regarding the 800 division should be posted here.

We “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion groups as often as we would like to, and the ladies helping out with the 800 divisions don't always get to the main wall as often as they would like.

Every single question that is asked is important

Every single concern is genuine

Every single member is important to us

We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there ladies!!!

Happy New Year and God Bless!!!

Happy New Year ! Was hoping today was the day we all might get that first phone call. It appears some other divisions did call. I guess the wait continues and the chant keeps going - No news is good news.

Ha ha!  Perhaps I'm a little competitive, but if we don't keep this conversation going, gals, our ship keeps moving toward the bottom of the list of discussions!  Hope you are all having an awesome Saturday!  I just finished PIR ribbons and door decoration for my SR!  Can you tell I'm a little excited!!!???

Mtnestr, I saw that people get those ribbons but you made them yourself, how nice, did you do first name or last name? Maybe you are inspiring me to make them myself as well. Tell me about the door decoration please.

I put last name on one side and division number on the other.  I just folded some ribbons and sewed it with a star-shaped button.  I used glittery puff paint and added some other "bedazzling".  I sent you a picture of our door decoration...sorry, I sent it twice accidentally.

What a nice job you did! I think I will make the ribbons too. I am not sure about a poster though, you will place that at your motel room? or you will have it at PIR? sorry I am a real newb at this, I think this is a wonderful way to spend time waiting for PIR. I got a letter from my son yesterday saying that for Christmas they were allowed to ask the RTC's any?, he inquired about his football team and found out they are out of the playoffs, this surprised me as every Sunday I send him the scores and thought he would have known that, anyway I thought it was a funny ? To ask.

People put decorations on their hotel room doors.  I didn't last time because we were at a hotel removed from the PIR atmosphere.  I don't believe signs and such are allowed in the ceremonial hall.  It sounded like a lot of people are doing decorations at Navy Lodge, and I didn't want my door to be the only one without any!  That's funny about your son's question! I think they are getting mail now, but I don't think they did until well after Christmas.

My daily weather check in Great Lakes... Looks like our kids are finally going to see real winter.

Those of us up north are expecting -20 to -30 below wind chills today and tonight.  But don't worry, they bundle them up like eskimos and only go outside to pass from building to building mostly.

My Southern boy should be getting a shock!

So happy to find this group!  Ship 4, Division 806 --- still waiting for my call, waiting is hard --- Have received letters and they are all positive except for the weather. ha!

Welcome, Feen27!  I have received one letter, but I know my son has written to many others.  I, too, am anxiously awaiting a call!  I just need to hear his voice!   :)
