1. Can anyone please tell me at what point do the tell a sailor where he will be stationed after prototype? Is it after the written or after the oral board?

2. Do they have any formal graduation ceremony? How much notice do you get?

Thank you...

Me too!

My son heard he may be going to Norfolk, but hasn't received official orders yet :-(

My son also got orders to Norfolk - the Truman.  One of his roommates is heading that way too but he'll be on the Bush.  They already got an apartment lined up - and are very happy they will be able to room together again.  I think a lot get sent to Norfolk since they have the most carriers stationed there.

Forgot to ask - is your son graduating this Friday in BS?  Will you be going?  We are - can't wait.  (We are also from SoCal - Riverside - and were hoping for West Coast, but oh well!)

Yes, I will be there for graduation, but in Goose Creek. Just booked my ticket tonight. My son heard that they have to live on the carrier. He will be on the Truman, too.  He is an ET. How about your son?

When is Goose Creek graduation & what time? We were told only 2 guests per graduate. Is this true? Thank you.

All I know for sure is that it is this Friday. I believe it is aboard the Yorktown, but I do not have any more information than that. I will ask my son when he calls today.

He just found out today that he may be delayed a week even though he completed everything by last weekend and won't know for sure until tomorrow. This is very frustrating for families! So my choice will be to buy yet another airline ticket or to go and hang-out in SC for a week, no bueno :-(

Is anyone going to be at graduation this Friday in Goose creek? Hubby was planning on going but the weather interfered with those plans, so now my son will graduate and then drive home to NJ. If anyone will be there, I'd love a photo...thanks if possible.

He is going to Groton and has a report date, he is a sub vol ET and will be on the Providence.

Can't wait to see him...

I will be there. If you give me his name, I will ask my son if he knows him and will try to get a photo for you ;-)

Thanks! Last name James, first name Eric. Thanks again, it's really appreciated. I've asked him for a selfie but I just know he's gonna do something goofy as a selfie...but he will listen to a navy mom!
Did you find out for sure about the graduation(i.e. date, number of guest, & etc.)?
