For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 087 and 088
These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.
Get to know each other, your SRs are!
Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

We paid $340 each for round trip non stop from Portland Or to O'Hare in Chicago. We bought our tickets on Jan. 6. We are flying on United Airlines.

Ship 12 div 087
Next Monday(2/2), they have their final PFA(Physical Fitness Assessment), another inspection and battle Stations at night.
I guess they will call us "I am Sailor" after that.
Keep praying for them. -

Just got my call! He was Sooo tired! said he passed everything and is graduating Friday! I am So relieved! Can't wait to see him.

I got my call about 1:00. He said it was really hard but I could tell how proud he felt. He said there were about 19 that didn't pass the Physical requirements test. :-( I feel so bad for those sailors. I'm SO GLAD he will graduate on Friday!

We got our call too. Packing up now, along with the items my Sailor wants us to bring. Laptop, headset, mouse, Kindle & i pod. He is staying in Great Lakes for A school. Getting excited to get on that plane early Thursday morning.

I'm so worried I haven't received a call yet and I know my SR was having trouble with the Physical Assessment Test :(

Beth, if he didn't pass the PFA, he should have called you earlier so try and go on No News is Good News. Maybe he had watch tonight? They go to bed at 8 pm Central time tonight, just an FYI. Did you check his FB account to see if he may have posted on that? Hope you get that call soon!
