I was wondering if anyone knew of when results would be sent out to students in regards to the ROTC scholarship. My son has applied and gone through the interview process and was told he would get the highest recommendation, this was back in November 2014. Any advice, suggestions are welcomed.

We received a call right before Christmas. He just got his packet in the mail this weekend with the acceptance form in it. We are in Oklahoma. I don't know if it is different for where you might be. Hope that helps.
Hi,
As soon as I read your post it brought me back to waiting for that news when my son, Jake, was a senior. I think we found out in April. And it seemed like forever. I can tell you that in our situation our son did not get the scholarship until he was a Junior in college. But we learned so much a long the way. We actually had a neighbor that worked in the Pittsburgh recruiting office and he helped us understand the process. We knew heading in that first and foremost,Jake wanted to join the Navy. He did not have all of the requirements in the grid --- we were told he needed to letter in high school sport, hold an office in a high school club, have high grades and a great recommendation. Needless to say, he did not score the highest on this scale. But he still made the commitment and worked hard and ended up getting the scholarship for his last two years. He is graduating and being commissioned this coming May. We are proud. But there are so many times that I feel so unfamiliar with the Navy processes, but I am learning. I wish you the best and that you hear as soon as possible. I know the wait is VERY difficult.

Thanks for your input Jill. Hopefully by April we hear something. Best of luck to your son.
If you son has service in his heart, have him consider joining the program and reapplying each year.
I know how hard the process is . . . .
