St. Patty's Moms: I got a PHONE CALL today!! He said he hasn't sent the form letter yet (I think he has, but he doesn't remember), but we have a PIR date of May 15th. Of course, check with your SR to verify! My son is Div 177, Ship 14 if anybody else is there with him. It was great to hear from him. He broke down a little, but sounded great. <3

Hello BeckyLCM
Its the performance division as my Navy Vet husband informed me. I guess they are the musicians and honor guard and flags. My husband was also 900 division. Our SR is 927 flags, they carry the flags representing the states. I was surprised as our SR is not a musician like my husband. I guess a lot of extra work and practices for the 900's. He is smart and has such an strong character and was so ready for this. Thanks for all your kind words.
Rete
That sounds great. How interesting! Good for him!
Hooray you got that form!! It's so sweet he made cute doodles for you, what an awesome kid!! It feels so much better to know that we can start planning now- yay!!
I got one today too! OMG so happy to hear that voice!
Mine was put into a push division, so I will look into the peeps on the 5/8 PIR. He was sniffling and sick with a cold, but said it was "boot.campy" lol, when I asked how it was. He got a little sad for a minute, but we changed the subject to the food and he was ok.
Can't wait to see my boy in May! Hooyah!!
Aimee, So happy to hear that you heard from your SR. Haven't heard anything yet. Will be so happy when I get the form letter and I can start planning. Hope you are doing well!
Hey Amy!! Thank you, I'm doing well. (Well, besides the part where it's 3 am & the neighbors dog just got sprayed by a skunk- so it's all smelly and the poor dog keeps barking and I'm wide awake cause Peeee-Uuuuuuew. Lol.)
I sure hope you get to hear from your boy soon & we get to be in the same PIR group!!
How are you doing otherwise?
Amy & Wine...Oh yay! Glad he's moved up a week. I wish mine was! So sorry yours has a cold. I think it's cute that ALL of our boys broke down a little. I hate to hear my son sad, but I am glad that talking to Mommy makes them be able to let down their guard a little.
I'm smiling for all of us today! :)
Thanks Becky! I agree, it was a happy smiles day today!!
I'm sad they are homesick but it will pass, and thankfully they got to get a momma booster shot today- can't wait to get booked to see those kids in a few weeks!
Yay!
Hi. That is the same ship and div as my son. Haven't heard from him yet. Keeping my phone on me at all times. Wanting to hear from him, but also nervous. I don't know how strong I am if he isn't getting along well.
YAY! Glad our boys are together! My son told the that EVERYRONE in his division is doing great, so don't stress. Remember that "no news is good news." If he was doing badly, you would know! I haven't gotten my son's "form" letter yet, either, but the phone call was nice. It was very short, so I have no idea how much time they had. Hang in there. From what I understand, they don't have time to call except on weekends, but you never know. Take care!! I'm here for you!
