For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Our November and December Sailors!!
We have a very special mission that we are going to ask all of our NavyforMoms.com members to support for the holidays.
Although the Adopt A Sailor program is only a few months old, as a group we have supported troops in Kuwait, Afganistan and Iraq. With the upcoming holiday season, we wanted to continue to support our sailors that we know won't be home with their families this year.
This group has grown so tremendous with almost 200 members and we had a goal in mind that would take alot of support. After much research and some emails inbetween, Molly and I are pleased to announce that our Sailor of the Month program for November and December will be...
The USS RODNEY M. DAVIS
This frigate will be home to about 250 sailors for the holidays.
Working thru their chain of command, we have received approval to support these sailors. This is an amazing opportunity and honor for us to be allowed to adopt this ship. This will be a big undertaking for our group but we know that Navy for Mom members know how to show the love!
Deployed ships often have limited mail deliveries so we have committed to having our mail delivered December 1 - December 8th. This will allow them to contain all of cards and holiday wishes together and deliver them to the crew before the holiday.
Our hope is for EVERY Sailor on that ship to receive a holiday card signed by Navy for Mom. We would like to include a $10 international phone card in the card so those Sailors may have an opportunity to call their loved ones. If you are not in a position to send a phone card, please do not let that stop you. Just write on the back of the envelope - no phone card included so as cards are distributed, some sailors don't get multiple phone cards and some get none.
So many of you have really stepped up the last few months and are spending $20 or more just shipping packages to our Adopt A Sailor receiptants. This will be an easier mission - no packages to send, no lines to stand in at the post office...just your holiday wishes with a regular postage stamp!!!
If you are a school teacher, Sunday School leader, Boy Scout or Girl Scout troop leader or part of any organization that would like to spread some holiday cheer to this group of Sailors, we would love to load them up with many holiday messages of support and cheer. Please think about using this a project for your group.

Not only did I need to sit - I needed Kleenex !!!
Can you just imagine what this Command Master Chief is going to say, I can just see him ( Captain - you have to come here and see this, you are not going to believe what those Navy moms have sent)
Can you just see the officers faces that are going to pass out cards to each and every sailor on the ship, Can you just see the sailors faces when they get a (handful) of cards from across the country , from young and old.
Can you just imagine the loved ones expression when that phone rings and it is there sailor on the other end saying these people sent a calling card and the CO let us call home !
Can you imagine how for just a moment those sailors will smile when they think of strangers caring enough to say Thank you !!!!!

I just came back from the $ tree and they have packs of 16 cards for $1 !
So I grabbed a few. ~ BUT I also talked to the manager about discount in bulk items,who gave me a number to call and I talked to the manager of bulk products (to see if I could get a discount on 250 things,like toothbrushes) And she said- she was putting a request into donations for me, and I am to call back on Monday and reference a number she gave me !! LOL LOL
More info on monday ~ But keep those fingers crossed maybe we can get items donated to our sailors ?
Either way 16 cards for $1 is not bad at all ~~ -

Molly, these are the boxes of card that I have been sending in my cared packages for the sailors to send home at the holidays. I just sent another box of things to our October group yesterday and will get going on this now.

Tracy Awesome ~~ It is hard not to just cry when you think of those sailors alone on a ship out to sea.
I wish the whole USA would just write one letter, or a postcard to our military men and women that are *away from home*. They would feel so supported, so happy to know people care !
BUT at least they will have Navy Moms and family,friends telling them how much they mean to us.

Just got back from our local Walmart. They had boxes of 64 Xmas cards for $3.00. I bought 5 boxes, I am taking several to our church and ask everyone to please sign a card and leave in a box for our Military on board the USS Rodney M. Davis.

I am doing the same at work. I work for a small company only about 35 employees. We usually all fill stockings for the party that the Salvation Army does here for children, but I am going to see if everyone would get a phone card for the troops Also.

The Wal-Mart price is better so I will run By there today and get some of those to send to this group.
