Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 811 and 812

Be very aware when posting about your SRs who are in this division. Make sure you read the OPSEC rules (everyone should).

sjtina, cor and a couple more ladies will be joining this discussion to answer your questions about the "800" division.

Although your SR is still in BC, what they are doing may be slightly different from what the other divisions in this training group are doing. It is also recommended that you go into your "settings" (clickable link on the right side) and change your privacy setting to "private" and change everything to friends only.

Please still use the main wall to post general questions, and concerns, such as meet and greet questions etc. Specific questions regarding the 800 division should be posted here.

We “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion groups as often as we would like to, and the ladies helping out with the 800 divisions don't always get to the main wall as often as they would like.

Every single question that is asked is important

Every single concern is genuine

Every single member is important to us

We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there ladies!!!

Great to be here!

Thank you for the help!

Thank you for that update mikmack! Hoping for another letter soon-- :-)

We have not. Hoping soon!

No-not yet. Hoping soon, though!

No call from 811 yet. We received a couple of letters last week. Have our fingers crossed for a call this weekend.

Hope everyone is doing well.  Does anyone know how long the training will be if the SRs are staying on at Great Lakes and when they will be heading on to their next destination?

I can't wait to meet everyone at PIR.. My son is asking me to send his watch?  I didn't think they could get packages?  I haven't sent it yet because I am not really sure.

Hey all. Just had our sailor go through this and now have another one. The PIR is great. And they stay for about 8 weeks at prep then transfer on. Some have to be on hold for a few weeks also. Just depends.

If your son requested it you can send his watch to him. On the outside of the box write contents: wristwatch. Don't include anything else in the package except a letter or note. There are a limited few exceptions to the "don't send" to a recruit and a watch is one of them.

Before he left for BC, our SR told us that he will be at GL for an additional 8 weeks after PIR before leave for the west coast.

I've received about 4 letters from my son, who is in Div 811. Still no phone call though. I'm hoping for a call on Sunday, when they sometimes get a little "holiday routine". Keep your fingers crossed, and good luck to all our sailors!

No news is good news!
