Good morning all!  It's been two weeks since my SR left.  I have his box and his form letter, so I am feeling pretty happy, which is a far cry from how I felt two weeks ago.  I am so thankful that I have had all of you to help get through the past few weeks.  So thank you, thank you, thank you!

Last week I was feeling pretty mopey and was worrying about the same things all of you are worrying about..Is he sleeping? eating? Is he warn out? Is he cold?  All of this while sitting at my comfortable table, sipping coffee...That is when I came up with an idea.  I decided to get off my rear and spend this "bootcamp" time doing my own bootcamp.

It has been only a week, but I can honestly say that it has been nice to have something to center some of that "feel sorry for myself" energy on.  Which leads me to...........

I HAVE A CHALLENGE FOR YOU...THE BOOTCAMP MOM CHALLENGE.

So if you are interested this is my thought.  Find something that is tough for you whether it be something mentally or physically challenging.  It doesn't matter what it is...maybe working out, changing eating habits, cleaning the garage, less smoking, drinking more water.  Find something that you can throw yourself into for the weeks ahead while you are waiting for PIR.  You are welcome to share it, or keep it to yourself.

Here are the Pro's...It keeps your mind occupied, you are challenging yourself, you have something to write about to your SR, you have something you can share with your SR when you see him/her.

Now for the CONS....Ummmm, I can't think of any.

So think about it...How about you come and join me on this journey...

BTW...My challenge is to drink a gallon of water a day, and I have a Cardio, weightlifting plan that is mapped all the way out until I leave for PIR.

Good Luck!

Thank you but water is not my friend I like water I need flavor

Latrisa, do you like flavored waters?  You could add lemon, lime, strawberries, cucumbers, pineapple.....they are so refreshing....

Are we ready ladies for Thursday and Friday???   I AM ANXIOUS!!!

I can't believe I missed this message.  Oh MamaBear I wish I could have been there with all of you.  I hope you had just the awesome weekend.

Thank you amy3boys
I am trying find a hotel close to base

Latrisa, did you find a hotel?  The Navy Lodge is right there and most people were happy with it!!  We stayed at the SpringHill Suites, it was just a few miles away, and it was very fresh and clean, it's right across the street from the saloon where the meet and greet is!

amy3boys:  Just one more week and you'll be at your SRs graduation!!!!  Seems like yesterday you began challenging all of us to help make the time go faster.  Didn't get to watch today's graduation, but will be tuning in for sure next Friday morning.  Happy Mother's Day to everyone!!!!

Hi Froggy,

I can't believe how the time has flown by.  My SR does not agree with that statement.  Hopefully by this time next week I will have a graduated Sailor.  I cheated and just watched a few minutes of the ceremony since my SR was performing.  So excited to see him in person.  Happy Mothers Day!

amy3boys - what part of the performance is your SR in?  So glad you got to see him in the last PIR.  If you want to private message me, I can fill you in on some of the happenings before the PIR starts.  The performers have a mini dress rehersal so message me for more info.   Happy Mother's Day to everyone!!!  And indulge a little today - everyone off the diets for today!!!!!

Amy3boys! I wanted so much to meet you at Sarge's meet and greet!! How could've gotten in touch with you!! PIR was absolutely AMAZING! Our kids are SAILORS and are at their designated A Schools!!

Mamabear I would have loved meeting you too!  Actually my son's PIR is coming up this week.  It sounds by the posts that you had a fantastic time.  I am rushing around trying to finish up last minute things before the trip.

Now that your son SR has moved to A school are you going to come up with a new challenge?  Summer is just around the corner..Hope springs eternal.  What a great time to try something new and to set a new goal (Did I just challenge you again?  Yup, I think so ;-) )
