Need some postive one liners to send to recruit.

In letters to my recruit, I like to include atleast one motivational quote or a simple personal inspiration from me for my daughter to reflect upon. I thought it would be neat if we all had a place to share and collect motivations and inspirations from other Navy Moms.

 

Here are a few I've sent lately:  

 

"I sprinkle, love, positive energy and happy thoughts all over these pages when I tuck them inside the envelope."

 

 

"Each day that you awaken at boot camp, you are one step closer to your goal!"

 

"You are a role model to many back home who love and admire you."  

 

 

 

 

I would love to hear what you all have sent to your own recruits.

I stole this from a winnir hte pooh quote and wrote it on the bottom of every letter I sent my son.....

this is the whole saying:

“If ever there is tomorrow when we're not together.. there is something you must always remember. you are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think. but the most important thing is, even if we're apart.. The love of your mother will get you through......

I added the part about the love of your mother will get you through

This one made me cry.  Why?  Because that is a quote my daughter wants to have tattooed on her back at a future date.  I think I will have to put that in a note to her soon.  She leaves in 9 days for BC.

 

And thanks for that added little bit about "the love of your mother ..."  She'll need to know that, too.

I like to tell my son in Boot camp to "Keep up the good work." "Stay Strong." because "Graduation is right around the corner."   I always tell him that I am proud of him.  Then I sign it "Love ya like crazy, Mum xo

My daughter will graduate May 30, and for the first 26 days with my letters to her, I sent a letter of the alphabet with an encouraging word! She loved it... It started as a joke because she said " mom you have to write me a letter everyday." So that's what I did.

I had other people write a short note on an index card that I tuck in with my daily letter. I just tell him what we did that day.. not too exciting and at some point he may beg me to stop writing letters but they make me feel better!

I googled inspirational quotes and pick one to write in my letter to my son

 every day.   "Don't go where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path and leave a trail"    "The greatest oak was once a little nut who held it's ground".....  <3

Thank you ladies, I'll be posting some of these in letters to my youngest son (Justin) who just left for BC on May 12th. He called me& I missed his call but he called and spoke to my older brother. Justin is kinda scared& told him that he don't think the Navy is for him. But I felt the need to look up inspirational scriptures& quotes for him. Thank you all.

No :( Thank you for asking. But as it turned out, it wasn't for him. He's doing ok now though. It took awhile for him to stop being a "loaf" and finally get out and get a job. I was worried about him for the longest because he was getting skinnier& staying up all hours of the night. My hubby finally had enough& thought he'd better talk to him before something happened.
