Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 237 and 238

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important

Every single concern is genuine

Every single member is important to us

We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Thank you dor all info.
For
My son is 14/237

Hi My husband is in this same division and ship. PIR is July 10th.

Devin, my son is 14/237 also :)

My son is also ship14/237
Found out they are pulling his wisdom today and I am so concerned
My son is same division as yours. I pray your son recovers fast! Wisdom teeth removal is no joke. From what I hear they are in good hands medically.

My son is also on 14/237.

How do you know they are pulling wisdom teeth, my son needs his pulled too and he didn't know when they were doing it

Pulling wisdom teeth out in BC is very common. If it appears there is any possibility the wisdom teeth could be a problem in the future...out they come. There would be nothing worse than to be out at sea for weeks or months, have problems begin, and no one to take them out. Ouch!

Don't worry the Navy pulls hundreds of them. Your recruits will be given pain killers, have one or two days SIQ, and then a couple more LLD (light limited duty). They will be fine, and certainly not alone in their pain as there will be many others in their division in the "same boat".

Good Luck to them!! I am thankful my son had his out during his senior year.

thank you for all your responses. our son called us for about 15 secs on sat night and told us about his teeth.  also mentioned he has to change jobs because he did not mention he had a concussion years ago.  would anyone know why that would be?  my impression was that his job was going to be more desk related?

Has anyone booked their hotel yet?  We did there is not a lot available, you may want to look into it.
