Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 227 and 228

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important

Every single concern is genuine

Every single member is important to us

We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Just heard from my son today. Short as it was it was great to hear from him. He is Ship 3 div 228. He said they are all becoming well acquainted with each other. He is head of laundry funny as it is he hated doing it at home. Lol. Can't wait to see him on 5/2. He said they are just now allowed to write letters home and only will have time to write a couple this week. How this helps anyone searching for updates. God bless and have a great Memorial Day.

My son is in the same division but he hasn't called yet

You should hear from him this weekend. If he had to buy a phone card it may take that extra week if you happened to miss a collect call. Answer all calls especially those from Illinois Hope this helps some.

My son is also in DIV 227...this is a great site and if you are on Facebook there are pages there too...check them all out.

That's great hope to meet if your going to pir and the meet and greet
Hello my daughter is Ship 03 Div 227. She called me this past Saturday it was great to hear her voice. I have been writing daily. I hope all you moms are doing well. God bless

Just got a call from my son !!!!  I just talked to him on Thursday as well so this was a NICE surprise!!

Can anyone assist me in trying to find out if it is best for me to begin making reservations at the hotel for the PIR 7/2 and where should I stay and how long should I stay? Also, after my SR graduates, how long does he stay before going to A School? Also, should I bring his cell phone with me and/or what else should I bring?

It depends.  If their school is at Great Lakes the have more time to visit with family and friends.  If their school is on of the area they will most likely just get 5-7 hours with you on graduation day.

Thank you for the info. Sorry for the late response but I've been real busy and still trying to get this whole PIR going.

Hello everyone!!  This is my second time around.  My son joined 2 years ago and now my daughter is part of Ship 03, Div 228!  I have no more kids to donate to the Navy!  Very proud of all of the men in women of this and all divisions.

Next year my daughter is graduating and has her heart set on the Air Force Academy but if she doesn't make that she wants to go to Annapolis
