Did anyone from this group receive phone calls from their SR other than the "I'm here" scripted call?

I am so anxious as I am sure we all are...

The upside is that after 3 weeks you haven't gotten a call saying that he's coming home. Although he is crying to you that he wants to come home, he's not crying to the people that could actually put him on a bus. Any Recruit who seriously wants to separate can find a way to be sent to Ship 5.

Its time to flood him with encouraging letters and cards.

Thank you, I will send some more letters.  What is Ship 5?

Thank you.  I suppose I would have heard something by now since he was so intent on leaving.

Jackie T When is he set to graduate? Did your son play sports?  I sent pics of my son playing sports especially championship games for motivation-I was able to print copies not originals-anything that reminded him that he has been successful and will continue to be. Then lots of articles that I printed off the internet about his favorite teams.  Just anything to make him feel special and "normal"-pieces of home.  Also sent copies of quotes from his favorite comedy movie.  I am sure it is just a shock and it will calm down for him. Sending hugs and well wishes to you.

He played T-ball and little league when he was younger and is not a sports nut.  He's been kind of a loaner type guy so I know this is all quite overwhelming.  I have been sending encouraging letters and one a bit more stern and reminding him why he decided to do this, he wanted an education and some stability.  He has a step sister that is in the Navy and they have been closely discussing this for a while.  I wrote him another letter last night and mailed a picture of a trip that I found of a trip we had taken when he was 5 or 6, I hope it cheers him up.  I plan on getting him a couple of funny cards and sending them tomorrow.  Maybe something with racing type cars, he loves cars.  Thanks Jennifer, this has all been a crazy journey so far.  He is due to graduate 7/10 Ship 13 Division 234.  I told him in my letter we all have flights & hotels and just need a rental car and will be ready to get there to see him.  Thank you for the hugs & well wishes, too.

Wow!  My son is Ship 13, too! But he is Div 245 and graduating 7/24. As everyone here has said "No News is Good News" since you haven't heard from him recently I am sure he is adjusting and feeling better...I just got off a website to send some funny jokes to him too.  Humor is always a good cure too so funny cards I am sure will help :)

I'm sure he appreciates all you do :)  I know I have to find a few funny cards today to help him and help ease my mind a bit!  I'm keeping fingers crossed and good thoughts for all of our young men & women who have chosen this path!  Have a great day, gotta go to work.

My son left for boot camp May 21. No calls others than the "I'm here" call. No letters either. He is ship 13, div 246. Is there anyone that has received a call from that division?
My husband is also ship 13 div. 246. I haven't gotten any phone calls other then the "I'm here" phone call. No letters yet either.
When do we get I'm here call? My son left for bc today and his plan should have landed at 6:00pm?

Probably the middle of the night, right after you dropped off after staying awake worrying.
