Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 245 and 246
These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.
Get to know each other, your SRs are!
Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.
Every single question that is asked is important
Every single concern is genuine
Every single member is important to us
We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.
Hang in there!!!

Dana, I was wondering the same thing. My SR is in DIV 246. Looking at the pics posted on Thursday I couldn't figure out the break between divisions.
My son is in 246 and I found him in picture 71 &72 of 121 in the album June 4, 2015
There are an average of 88 recruits in each division, but there can be between 70-100 to start with. The number of recruits in a division will vary during BC. Some recruits are asmo'd, those hurt and nee recovery are sent to RCU to heal, some just don't make it through. Then there are those who join the division that have been asmo'd from another TG, come out of RCU etc.
It is approx 10% that don't make it through BC for a variety of reasons. Some quit, some can't cut it and are removed, other for medical reasons etc.
Asmo'd=Assignment Memorandum
This means taken out of their division and TG, and put in a TG that graduates at a later date. This too happens for a number of reasons. Illness has taken them out of training for too many days, injury, extra help need for academics, etc.
