Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 245 and 246

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important

Every single concern is genuine

Every single member is important to us

We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

That's what Alex said as well in his letter. He said that about 40% of the group is very talkative which gets everyone in trouble.

I got a letter today too! Well a couple small letters over a few days put in one envelope. My SR say's he is doing great and learning a lot. What a relief!! I am so proud of him. He says he has made some great friends too. He also said he is a section leader! Man did this make my whole week:)

I got a couple of letters from my SR today!!  Div 246.  He's doing well, so excited to hear from him!  Said he had made several friends.  Wonder if their moms are in this group?

I got a letter from Alex today. Said he is doing good and he likes it there. He has to have 2 wisdom teeth pulled either this last week or next week. He said that the division he is in (246), that about 40% of the group acts up and gets the entire group in trouble and he wishes that they would just cooperate. He said that they already had to do Intensive Training and that the Senior Chief said that it's sad that they already had to do this since her past group didn't have to do it until the 4th or 5th week.

I was going to stay at the Navy Lodge, but then Alex's dad & step-mom said they were coming so we changed over to the Days Inn so that we could all visit together without any issues.

We are definitely going to Sarge's Meet & Greet on Thursday, already reserved 4 stops. You all can go to www.mynavytaxi.com and click on Sarge's Meet & Greet and make reservations now.

I got a letter!! He says he is doing well & he seemed really positive. He said he has made some good friends already. I feel so much better. Now, I'm really hoping for a call this weekend.

I have a question, when we go to PIR weekend, what are the clothing items that we can bring with us for him? I have heard underwear, are there any other clothing articles that he can wear if we bring them? He always liked wearing those white undershirts (as shirts)? Also is a laptop a good idea for a graduation gift? Will they need one in A School?

I've seen some divisions received calls yesterday but none from 245 or 246. Has anyone from these divisions received a call yet?  :-(

My son is div 246 & no phone call yet. I am hoping for a call today
