Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 249 and 250

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important

Every single concern is genuine

Every single member is important to us

We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Hi mom1290. My son is Ship 14 Division 249 too.

Hi kerry9396, I just got a call from my son, hope you did too! It sounds like he is doing good. It was good to hear his voice!

I did! I feel so much better!

I finally just found out my sons ship and division number today. Still no form letter so I had to call the recruiter. She couldn't find him under her recruits and had to dig to find him. But he is ship 14 Division 249. When he called last Saturday and talked to my husband he said they were moving this last Monday. Some sort of delay?

My son is Ship 14 Div 249 as well.  I got a call on 6/13.  Have you received any letters yet -- other than the letter with the grad info?

I just received letters today from my son in DIV 249, hope you will soon too!

Got them on Wednesday!!  :-)

I finally got a call from my boyfriend three hours ago who's in Div 250! Of course, I cried like a baby... because they didn't cut our call to less than two minutes this time. He stayed on the phone for about 15 minutes (maybe 20 because we spent so much time refusing to hang up until the next person). He said that they weren't allowed to write letters for the past two Sundays but that he'd be able to write tomorrow! He sounded tired and sick, but he's staying strong. It just made my whole day because I'd felt so disconnected from him. He says he hasn't received my letters yet (although I sent them out about five days ago) but he was so happy to know I was writing because he was super jealous of the people who had gotten mail. Overall, I'm so relieved to finally hear from him after such a long period of silence! Can't wait for PIR!

Wheilhnpluto I got a call today too!! It was awesome to hear from son!! He is in 250. He sounds like he is doing great things! He also said the guys in his division are a bunch of great guys!! He's one of the youngest he said. Glad you got your call. I feel so much relieve!!
My son is also Ship 14 Div 250. He is AECF also. He seems to be doing good and said its a lot easier than he thought it would be. This will be my second son in the Navy.
Hi Proud Mom my son is in the same Div and is the same AECF. I take it he is staying in GL for A school? My son sounds the same like he is really enjoying himself.
Yes he is staying in GL... Hes supposed to get E-3 once I fax his transcripts. I hope they enjoy the AECF FIELD.
