Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 249 and 250

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important

Every single concern is genuine

Every single member is important to us

We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

My son is trying to get E-3 by his PIR date. We'll see how he does. I hope they enjoy it too. It seems like a lot of schooling. A school than C school...I'm just hoping that at one point in his Navy career he gets stationed close to home.

So for everyone waiting for letters, I finally received 3 today!,  he is in DIV 249, another family member received some also.  Looks like all of mine were all written on the same day and postmarked June 22. I'm so excited! Sounds like he is doing well. So for all of you still waiting I am hoping and praying you will get good news soon too!

Hang in there everyone! PIR is getting closer everyday!

I got mine on Wednesday!  A stack of them.  He had been writing every night.  Reading them caused every emotion under the sun!

He's sick -- really struggling with some respiratory problem.  :(  That's making PT really difficult for him.

When I spoke to my son last Sunday he said a lot of the guys have head colds and are really congested. Himself included.

I'm happy you got letters. That's a great feeling. We got our first one yesterday.

My son was put on bed rest for a few days, and wasn't allowed to call on 6/21.  Ugh...I'll be glad when Basic is OVER!!  lol!

And you're right, Christie -- it's a great feeling to finally have some communication!  :-)

Well I hope he is on the mend and you will get a call soon. And I agree...I can't wait for it to be over. I just want regular communication. lol

It's maddening to not know what is going on.  The letters made me feel better, but finding out he was sick was horrible.

Me too!!! So happy! :)
My son was sick too. Div 250. He told me both div 249 and 250 were put on quarantine for being sick. Plus they found bed bugs and pink eye! He said they had the whole place sanitized.

My son has been sick for 3 weeks!  He has been to medical a few times, but the meds aren't working.  I'm hoping things improve this week!  He told me about the bedbugs and pinkeye too.  Fortunately he had his wisdom teeth out already.

Letters from my son today!  Div 249, Ship 14.  :-)

Hey moms did you ladies get to see your boys on FB today? Their division gave blood today.
