Was wondering if anyone had any info on the hull swap in San Diego. I would like to fly out to visit my son while he is there. This would be the first time I have gone to see him and would love for anyone with experience to give me some pointers!
Thank you so much!!!

He should have had that information to give you by now. Have you heard from him?
I am going to follow this thread because I would be interested to know if we are going to be allowed on the base. I know in Japan it was a HUGE rigmarole to gain entrance and I dont know it that is all Navy bases or just Japan.
I would also like info on the port times for California and Virginia. We would like to surprise our son at one of the ports. If any of you happen to get the information before I do, please message me privately or feel free to call! The phone number is a cell, for anyone that prefers to text

Me too, please! I asked my daughter but she said she has only heard rumors of the date and nothing firm. So any info would be appreciated as I want to go to San Diego. Please message me at maxtwin86@hotmail.com. Thank you!
yes, sorry so late in responding, lmcclane8@yahoo.com
Most of the people on the Japan Navy mom websites (FB) know the dates if you are on those site they will PM them and Sherry I was told they will have a list and put our names on it for us to be able to get on the base to see it pull into port.
I'm unclear on how "Sherry" will get us on the list as there are security clearances to go thru which required our personal/private information to be provided on the ID form distributed by the Navy for the port visit. Please refer to NBC Event Access Planning.ppt distributed by the Navy. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks
My son is on the GW and I am planning on going down the day they arrive in port. I've contacted SD for base entrance and was told the base is only open to people who posses a military ID and/or your son/daughter can meet you at the gate after their arrival. The "access list" is something that MIGHT get you in-its not guarantee.
