For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Please help!! Lots of questions!!
My fiance just left for boot camp on Wednesday morning, it has been very tough on me since we've been with each other 24\7 from the start of our relationship and did absolutely everything together. After boot camp he will be going straight to A school in Charleston, South Carolina for the nuke program. I understand that the nuke program is a very long and stressful program but im willing to do anything to stay and support him in it, i just need some help answering some questions about marriage, should we get married soon after he gets done with boot camp and if we did how would that work, or should we wait for his schooling to be done. I really dont want to wait for his schooling to be done because i would like to live with him as soon as possible.

Many nuke couples marry during A school, it is one of the few which is somewhat supportive of the process. They even ask who is marrying during indoc, and instruct them on how to proceed (or they have in the past).
However, as a new spouse, it can be tough to let him use all his time making school a priority while your fresh new marriage takes a back seat. You two must discuss that scenario, letting his training take first place more often than not. If you can swing it fine, if he needs not to be distracted, then wait a bit. Your choice to make together.
You can also marry during power school or prototype, plenty of time to weigh your options.
