Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 265 and 266

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important

Every single concern is genuine

Every single member is important to us

We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Thanks for setting up this discussion group for the Brother Divisions!  My SR is in 266.  He is going to A school at Port Hueneme, California and will be there 16 weeks.  I'm looking forward to going out their to visit!

What does eanybody hear of Division 265?  I have only received 2 letters so far and he does not provide a great wealth of information, other then the food is good and nothing is "awful". He did say some days he doesn't even know what the weather is.  The windows have a film on them and they rarely go outside. He also said he is very good at folding his clothes and making his bed now. Wish that would have happened a few years back..lol

My son is in 265 as well and i have only received 1 phone call and 1 letter. He pretty much says the same thing he is doing a lot of folding and 95% of the time they are standing at attention. He thought it would be a lot more physical and its not as bad as he thought. He also said they eat good but they get in trouble and screamed at alot because of them not listening. He didnt mention not going outside or the windows so i have to ask on the next call..lol. He sounded fine and was in good spirits so That put me at ease.

My son is in the DIV and I have gotten about 12 letters. The letters can only be written on Sunday and then they mail them out it can take 7 days. I am still getting letters out of order. My son talks about them marching outside and a bunch of stuff. I know that there are always getting PT because he said the Division will not work together as a team. But he sounded better than he did on his 2nd phone call. I hope you get more letters but it is hard and I still haven't see pictures. I seen one I thought was him until I made it big and then I can tell.

My SR is in division 266.  Since I left for China at the end of February to be an English teacher, I've been counting down the days until I might see him next.  Although, I am not invited to his graduation I hope that you could help me understand what's going on with them and if the FB group posts any pictures of his division.  Unfortunately, The Great Firewall of China doesn't allow access to FB and with the internet being slow I'm not able to get on it often even with a VPN.  Any notifications on any pictures of the division would be much appreciated.  Thank You.

My son is in Div. 265. I understand that Ship 11 has changed to Ship 6. Did the address change as well or will it still be the same?

Address for Ship 06

Ship 06   Div ???
3510 Illinois Street
Great Lakes, IL
60088-3119

Thank you ellen0502

FYI - for those of you on facebook - there is a page called US Navy Recruits Training Center - there are pictures of Divisions including 266!  SO HAPPY to see my sailors face today!

Thanks for all the information. Looking forward to the end of this week and receiving our phone call .
Our son has moved to Ship 6 Div 11.
Proud mother! I received the "I am a sailor" call. DIV 265.
