Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 249 and 250
These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.
Get to know each other, your SRs are!
Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.
Every single question that is asked is important
Every single concern is genuine
Every single member is important to us
We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.
Hang in there!!!

Me too! I'm still waiting to hear if he has finally passed his prone swim test. He has really struggled because he has bronchitis. This has been an insane journey!!
I pray every day that he'll get through that swim test and be good to go! He's so close to graduation, but SO worried that he'll be delayed because of floating! If he wasn't coughing so much, he would've passed it a while ago. I know about the bed bugs -- there was pink eye too, apparently. What an experience! My son sounds much more upbeat now than he did during his first call home. He's more nervous about graduating on time than anything at this point.
I was disappointed about not getting a call too. but we are almost there! That does make me feel a little better. Praying for all our recruits to do well on every test and in Battlestations!
A little late to the game, but my son is Ship 14 Division 250. He is headed to GC after PIR. Like many of your SR he has also been sick, when I last spoke to him he was feeling better and he sounded less congested. I am wondering if anyone who also has someone going to GC, has received news of when their flight leaves after PIR? My son wanted me to fly to SC and spend the weekend with him, but if he is not leaving until Saturday afternoon or later, it wouldn't make much sense, I have to be home Sunday night or early Monday morning at the very latest. Does anyone have any recommendations? Thank you so much.
My son is also heading for GC on Saturday. I have no info yet on flight time but I was told that for the first 4 weeks they are at A school they can't leave the base. Are we allowed to visit them on base? My daughter was going to go visit her brother but was waiting until the end of August so he would be allowed to go off base. Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks!
Did anyone get letters from their SRs today? I've gotten letters the last few Wednesdays, but none today. And no phone call this weekend either. UGH!!
Mine was addressed the sane way! I got a good laugh!
