Hello all! My son left for his recruiter's office on the 14th. We agreed mutually, as he said it was a quick drop off, that his best friend would drive him and that the good bye would be better for me at home. I tend to be quite emotional and didn't want him to have the added stress worrying if I was ok. I am, but i'm not. Its been a rough month, june 20th my oldest son got married, so within this time I went from my 3 boys, to 1. Change can be so heart wrenching for a mom whose entire life has revolved around her kids. I'm very thankful to have found this site, but almost choked to see about the swearing in. I'm guessing that would have been in St. Louis which is about 31/2 hours from me, but when i asked about that before he left, he said he didn't think he'd be sworn in before he left for great lakes. Agh...all good, but it's a comfort to see that i'm not the only emotional one, I was starting to think I was a bit crazy in how I felt!

I know exactly how u feel i too am an emotional wreck! Everytime someone at work asks about Brandon I burst into tears!! You are definitely not alone and what your feeling is completely normal. Hang in there!!

I feel your pain. My son is leaving the 29th and it's coming way too fast. I will only have 1 left at home after he is gone and I too have revolved my life around my kids. I just tell myself that this experience will make my son a better person. My prayers are with you and your son.
