Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. Tickets are now issued for all guests, and all guests must have a ticket to enter base. A separate parking pass is no longer needed to drive on to base for parking.

PIR Question about additional guests
I apologize if this has been answered somewhere else. Our SR said something about guests (over and above the 3-4 allowed) could come watch a broadcast of the graduation at the chapel on base. I can't find any information about that on all of the resources I've checked. His girlfriend is wanting to attend graduation, but with a limit to the number of guests, that's not going to be possible. Any idea if the chapel is a possibility, or what else she can do on that day?

The chapel is available for extras, but you can not count on that being available. It is up to the base to decide on the chapel use for the ceremony on any given Friday. There have been weeks that the chapel was not open for extra guests, and all of those extras had to return to their hotel or wait in the car.
The RTC has requested extra guests stay at the hotel until after PIR. Most hotels offer a Friday viewing in their lobby or another room.
Those who are not on the access list should remain off base and meet with their Sailor once he or she commences off base daytime liberty. We do not have a designated waiting area nor do we have a standby line.

Maybe this has been explained ir answeted sorryif it has...
So what of the seats that are not occupied... because an SR was not able to use max of 4. Can they be reserved or used? -

Also absolutely against the RTC rules to share "extra" seats with other recruits. It is a security risk among other things.

So there's no way prior to PIR to know if its available? I was told all along that grandma could watch in the chapel, since she didn't make the access list. Now what am I gonna do with her?
