Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

My son is a Nuke, but I needed to connect w/all of you. His recruiting station was shot at over 15 rounds ammo per news. Please pray for the families who lost loved ones. I just needed to connect w/all of you letting you know how much I appreciate this group and all Armed Forces families who sacrifice so much. It is so sad. I know all of you feel this way and are praying for their families. Thank you for being here

This shooting, I am sure, hits home for all of us. It is impossible to detach the thought of "this could have been our son/daughter..." This is the scary world we live in now. God bless us all and may God also bless the souls of those marines that departed today and their families, the ones that were wounded and their families and the whole community of Chattanooga.

Acb2, that must have hit very close to home for you. I first heard about it when my wife sent me a link. When I got in my car, I heard the reporter talking about it choke up, and then apologize, explaining that her son was a Marine. When I told my employees about it, some of them got choked up as well. We don't want to think about it, but at some level, we all know that this could have been any military facility. Our politicians, for some reason, are afraid to admit it, but evil does exist in our world. We need to thank the Lord today that our children are safe. And we need to be extremely proud that our sons and daughters were courageous enough to take the oath, along with a relatively few military brothers-and-sisters-in-arms to protect our freedom and confront the evil in our world.
