I am, my husband is currently in A school going to C school in Sam Houston.

I should of said it differently, Mines is already at his duty station and i was trying to see if there was anyone that currently live seperate lives form thier husband

I am. My husbands in A school too, I still live in our hometown.

I should of said it differently, Mines is already at his duty station and i was trying to see if there was anyone that currently live seperate lives form thier husband

My husband and I just got married two weeks ago, he got to his first duty station this past Saturday. We will be living apart for about the next 5 months give or take, because he will soon be leaving his duty station to meet up with his ship, which is currently on deployment.

mines just recently got off deployment and he is living on the west coast and told me it's best for me to stay at home here in NC while he stay over there for the next 3 and half years,

What are his reasons for why it is better for you to stay home? If you don't mind me asking.

He says that he don't want to bring me all the way over there to cali and take me away from family and also for example if he was to go on deployment he doesn't want to leave me there alone being that i don't know anyone out there.

Well if you aren't comfortable living in a new city where you don't know anyone yet then that makes sense, everyone has to do what's best for them.

Well to be honest I never told him that I wasn't ready for that, that's just something he assumed.

Well if it is something you want to do and are comfortable with than maybe it is something worth discussing with him. There are tons and tons of spouses that move to brand new cities where they don't know anyone, so maybe you can take some comfort in knowing that it is definitely doable. I have never lived alone but I will be moving to my husband's Duty station later this year, I won't actually know anyone there and my husband will be gone when I get there. My husband has a friend up there that will also be deploying who has a wife that is new to the area and knows no one, her and I plan on meeting up when I move there so that we aren't both completely alone. If you do decide to move finding another wife may help you when your husband is away!

PS Hi Brooke, I thought I saw somewhere that your husband is stationed in Norfolk? So is mine, I live in the area currently. Feel free to add me as a friend, I am happy to answer any questions about the area that you have as you get closer to your move!
