Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 249 and 250

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important

Every single concern is genuine

Every single member is important to us

We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

graduation is right around the corner!! Hope I don't embarrass my sailor with all my tears of joy!!
Thought maybe I posted but I guess it didn't go through. I'm. Flying in to Midway on July 23rd at 8pm.anyone else coming in around that time that can spare a ride to my hotel in Waukegan? I can pay... I just can't afford $160 for a ride... Willing to slip fair or pay to fill someone's gas tank if you're headed out that way. Sister of a brother in Division 250.jusg me by myself.

So who has Sailors going to Nuke school in South Carolina after graduation?  :-)  We'll need to start supporting each other all over again starting Saturday next week!  I wish my son would have more than just a few hours of Liberty after graduation...but I'll take what I can get!  I've missed him so much!  Less than a week to go!  Still waiting to hear if he passed his prone swim/float test.

Hi Mary71, I have a sailor who is also headed to Nuke school in SC! Yes, we will need to lean on each other through this. I'm in CA, whereabouts are you? I have missed my boy so much as well, very anxious and excited for next Friday. Mine is in division 250, I know they took their final PFA Friday. I am guessing if you didn't hear anything he passed :) What will your son be in the Nuke field, MM, ET or EA?

I'm in Indiana.  I'm anxious and excited too!  Last letter was dated 7/12 and said he hadn't passed his final prone/float test yet.  I'd LOVE to think that final PFA's were Friday and that he passed!!  The disappointment in his letters has made me so sad for him.  He chose MM first.

Our last letters were postmarked 7-13. Unfortunately I had to contact my son through the Red Cross on Friday because his grandmother was passing away and kept asking for him (she was unable to remember that he had left for boot camp). When I spoke to him, he apologized for taking so long to call, but said they had just finished their final PFA. I'm so sorry, it's so hard to hear them sad or disappointed and not be able to comfort or encourage them. My sons letters and calls have run the gamut of happy and excited to down and sad. I try hard to remember that this is all temporary and they have much to look forward to. My son chose MM as his first choice as well and when I last spoke to him he said that was what he was assigned! Hopefully, your son will know when he calls you next.

I'm sorry for your loss.  Thanks for your encouragement!

Maybe our sons know each other!  :-)

Hgarr81.Thoughts and prayers for you and your family!

So sorry to hear about his grandmother.  Prayers to you and your family.  God's comfort for your son being away from his family at this time.

Hi, my fiancé is going to SC for nuke school too. He's from div 249. If I heard him correctly on the phone, I think he was also assigned MM.

They're going to have to study hard for Nuke school!!  :-)  Maybe our sons/fiance's can work together to get through it!

My son is going to Nuke school too. I also heard that its pretty hard,  lots of studying, what I was told was if they have scores to make it into the program they can do it, it will be tough but part of what makes it hard is the massive amount of information they have to know.
