Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 291 and 292

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important

Every single concern is genuine

Every single member is important to us

We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

It was so good to hear from my son how boot camp was going. Told me I should have received two letters because he sent two out on the same day but I've only received one so far!!! Something to look forward to this week hopefully receiving the other letter!!! :). He's counting the days to graduation!! Lol he told me there are 40 days left!!! So happy we got some calls today!
Got a call from my son a few minutes ago!!! It was good to hear his voice!!! :)

Oh, I'm glad for you!

Hello All! My nephew is on 13, Div 291. I am his "second Mom" as my sister is on here as well. We are both brimming with pride and anxious about his boot camp experience. So appreciated the advice to keep the phone charged/with you at all times!! I was stuck in traffic in NYC on Sunday when "that number from IL" popped up! I was so thrilled and screamed when we connected! I was surprised to learn that he had to have oral surgery - that was a curveball, but he's on the mend and counting down the days!

Good morning !! Catching up on some NavyMom vibes today!!

My SR called his GF Sunday and was able to talk for about 30 minutes.  He is having difficulty writing everyone and lately has been writing into the night under his red light.  He expressed that he enjoys the letters and the encouragement. SO KEEP THOSE LETTERS GOING MOMS!!

He said when they went to demonstrate the 4 swim strokes needed to become a 2nd class he and two other guys made it!! (out of 100) HOWEVER, the got disqualified and got PT because they were discussing (talking) the strokes.  He can re test when he is in A school I believe.

He said a couple in his division had pissed off their Senior Chief and to do their most intense PT yet!!Said he kept going even though his arms felt like they would give out..

He got sick right after the series of shots, the famous PEANUT BUTTER one in the butt was the worst.  LOL.  But even being sick he pushed through it.  He said about 20 guys chose to go to medical after the shots, but he decided not to as he didn't want to fall behind, as it extremely difficult to catch up because they are constantly learning new things!

He did go to dentist, as he has one really bad tooth, they said he needs a root canal and possibly get it pulled. He said just fill it and he will deal with it in A school.  He doesn't want to miss to many days in BC as it may push back his PIR date??? (ADMIN, IS THIS A POSSIBILITY)

He said letters to the family will be coming possibly Thursday!! I will be standing in 108 degree weather all day until the mail arrives to get my letter!

ANYHOW, I just wanted to give you moms some encouragement that things are falling into place in our division and they are learning to cooperate!  Hope this brings you some comfort!! Looking forward to meeting you all at the Meet & Greet!!

HOOYAH!!! Go NAVY!

They will do the dental work in BC unless it is something that would take more than a couple of days SIQ and LLD. If it is something that will take longer to heal, they will postpone until A School. A couple days SIQ and LLD will not delay graduating.

Hello ladies - I received a letter from my son today (Ship 13/Div 291).  Said he feels the division is a little out of sync but hopefully things will start falling into place.  He's made friends, one's last name starts with a C and ends with an M.  Hope I'm not giving away too much.  I know we're not suppose to use last names.  He said his Chief helps him study.  Every time my son gets an answer wrong, Chief makes him do 10 push ups in full gear, saying the correct answer every time he comes up.  At least my boy still has his sense of humor.  It's very demanding physically and as well as mentally but I guess I'm not telling you something you don't already know.  Moms, it's very emotional to read these letters because we all want to protect our kids and right now we can't.  As I told him, you don't know how strong you are until you are tested.  This is an 8 week test.  They will pass.  They are strong!!

Good morning Div 292!! Happy Friday.  Hope you all go letters home yesterday.  I didn't receive mine so I am hoping it will be today.  PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!!  Congrats to the new Graduates today!! HOOYAH!!  Hope you all have a wonderful weekend and praying your SR is able to call home!!

Did you get your letter today 530BBMom?
No letter for me today!! Another week!!! I'm so sad. Been crying all day!!
Aw I'm so sorry. They must have been short on writing time because my letter was very short and his mom got no letter this week. Sucks!
It's ok. I kinda figured I'd be the last one to get info. I just got a message from his gf and she said don't worry I'll get a letter soon. I told her I was thankful and have been living off her correspondence with him. So she's going to email me more about their talk last week. She has already sent me one email and I must have read it 150 times. I will continue to write him weekly and along with my letters I'm sending a self addressed stamp envelope and a blank sheet of paper. Hint hint! Lol.
