Hi all,  my babygirl left for bootcamp on the 27th.  Anyone's kid leave than?  I got the last call that evening about 10:30pm and my heart just broke.  "The Box" arrived Thursday.  Waiting now for her letter with dates and info in.  I'm retired military now I know what my parents went through so many years ago.

My son left on the 28th.  I am still waiting for "the box".  The waiting is the worst but keep telling my self no news is good news. I am thinking PIR will be September 25 but awaiting that letter to make my reservations.

Good luck!! Thank you for your service!

My baby girl left on the 27th, as well! I got her box on Friday! This is the hardest thing I've ever had to do! I just hope that she's doing better than I am!! I can't wait to meet the families of others going through this! This site is amazing ~ it will get me through!

Hi Sailorsmom,  maybe our girls are in the same unit/group I don't know Navy Lingo yet.  Maybe we will get our letters this week to see their unit numbers.  Maybe I will meet you at graduation!

Oh this site is amazing.  I got her letter today and you would have thought I won the lotto.  She is in Ship 03 Div 315.  Have you found out where yours is?

Hi, my daughter left on 7/29. Waiting for the box. The mail truck came and went, maybe it will be delivered by FedEx. Maybe it will arrive later today. I think they are having beautiful weather in Great Lakes. It is in the 90's here in MD. Time to take the dogs for a walk and cut the grass. All the best to our SR's and everyone at home I look forward to meeting everyone at graduation. Thanks for your conversations and best wishes. Congratulations to all who have received their letters, boxes and PIR dates.

Hi, her box did come Fed Ex and you got to be there to sign for it.

ProudmomofD3Yes, "the box" is delivered by FedEx. If you leave home before you receive "the box" leave a signed and dated note for the FedEx driver to leave a package from GL. Arrival and What Happens at the RTC within Boot Camp Moms (and loved ones) will let you know what is happening and what to expect.

My daughter left on the 29th also.  We received the box last night.  I can't wait for the address to be able to write her!

Hello all my daughter left on 7/27. Got the box on Thursday you would have thought it was Ed Mcman at the door with the Publishers Clearing House Check!! Lol! I was so excited opened it took each piece out and smelled it went through all the pockets but there was nothing g in them! Cried shortly after then laughed because of the way it was all thrown I. There reminded me of her room. Not anymore though I am sure everything will be in its place from now own. We have been on vacation since and will arrive home today .. Praying for the first letter with all her info. Miss her like. Crazy but hope this experience is all she expected and all of her dreams come true. One sad but proud momma right here. Hope you all recieve your boxes and letters real soon too!

Claire-Pippy, I left info for you on your My Page.

Lemonelephant thank you I can not see where you left info on my page I am still trying to navagate through the website. I have watch a lot of videos and reviewed the start up up info. I want to make sure I don't miss something you have sent because it all has been very  helpful. Will I see a msg where you have sent the info that is new for me to review or does it come up in a different area?

You may have figured out that info is on your Comment Wall on your My Page. Do put a comment on my My Page with your recruit's rating (job/specialty) or field.
