For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 315 AND 316
These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.
Get to know each other, your SRs are!
Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Hi guys, we got our form letter . My son is in div. 315. I was so excited to get it. I think he is with on of the guys he rode up to MEPS with. So happy that he may be with someone he knows.

PUSH divisions happen when processing and p hold take longer than usual, and there is less time for training. No worries though they still get it all done on time. It will only confuse you not them. LOL
If you hear they are PUSH let me know I will explain more. Again, no worries if that is the case it happens a lot!!

Got a phone call from Kristen today she went to sick call she's got a head cold sounds like everyone might be fighting with a head cold and a struggle little bit says they're getting yelled at a lot of other Nat she says the foods good and they're sleeping eight hours a night

I haven't received a call yet. I know it will come but I am Scared I will miss it. Thanks Amy for sharing details about you call. Hope your girl feels better soon.

I too have yet to receive a call from my son. I realize that there are others in our shoes, but it doesn't make it any easier. I have my phone with me at all times just hoping to get a call. My only peace of mind is in the fact that they are keeping our SR's very busy which doesn't give them time to call.

Kristin also said they may be able to make more calls on thursday ... not 100 % ... they also have there first test on Friday .. she said the food was not bad at al , they have only ran once , thought they would be running daily the phone call came from area code ( 847) and showed as pay-phone on caller ID .. hope this helps

I got a letter today! I can't stop smiling. That and my eyes teared up just looking at her name on the envelope it took me a few to finally read it. I feel so much better now knowing she is doing good. Hope everyone gets mail this week.

Received first letter from my son today. It was a long wait for him in processing. Didn't get into his division 315 until August 3. He is in good spirits and is enjoying the experience much more than when he was in processing. I am so relieved that everything is going well for him. He has also made a couple of friends from Colorado.

So guys I need some guidance, got my son's first letter and he is not doing well. He said he hates it and can't do it anymore and wants to come home. Is this normal , he said that he has tried to talk to the RTC and the Chaplin . I am just heartbroken for him. I can't make it better.
