I was just wondering if everyone got their "Box".
I got it on Friday, August 28th. I was so excited to get it.....I hurried up and went through it to see what was in there. I forgot he took so much stuff...lol
I was glad to see he got to keep his wallet. Now I am waiting for a letter. I hope I get it by this coming Friday.
I am trying to stay busy....all I can think about is what he is doing every hour of everyday.
I hope to see some of you at graduation.

My daughter left 8/26 and I haven't gotten anything and am so desperate for something anything... I wake up thinking about her and go to bed thinking about her, so sad and missing her.
Got my box today!! Felt like Christmas even though all it had was her dirty clothes and cell phone. I had sent her with hair elastics, a notebook and personal products since her recruiter said i could and a very expensive sports bra and that was all sent back looks like all she kept was her makeup and hairbrush. Just can't wait to get a letter with her PIR date and a mailing address. Wondering if I should send her a phone card we had looked everywhere for one and all we could find are ones for cell phones. Her recruiter said she could purchase one at BC though just not sure what I should do. I miss her so much but getting that box helped a lot, never thought dirty laundry could make me so happy!!
I know....I didn't know I would be so happy to see dirty laundry either. From all that I have read (I am no expert this is my first time experiencing this) you are right....they can buy a calling card there. I am also waiting for that letter!!!
Time seems to be going by so slow.....Im sure for them too but it has only been a week and it seems like a year....ugh.
Hang in there moms....we are here for each other....we can do this!!!!
Just to reply regarding the phone card. I actually bought one from AT&T online that was specifically for Navy. It allows you to prepay for the minutes and you can print it out and mail it to your RS in your first letter.
Here is the website I got it from: https://attprepaidcard.amssupport.net/
Just waiting for my letter. I am getting very anxious!!! I want to send him some mail!!! I hope it comes tomorrow. I see some of you received your letters.....YAY!!!!
Today its been a week since my son left for boot camp.....its been a very long week....I'm sure for him too.
my son arrived at BC on the 26th, yesterday we received the box but still no letter. We were so disappointed to have not received it today.
Should we send a prepaid calling card? I thought we shouldn't really send anything...
Hi, my son left on 8-18, got the box on 8-21 (Fri) the form letter got here on Monday, 8-24. I bet you get it tomorrow or Thursday. Good luck
