For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 335 and 336
These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.
Get to know each other, your SRs are!
Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

I decided that reading on the N4M website this late at night is too emotional, LOL. I was just reading about battlestations and it gave me some anxiety. I miss my boy.

Yesterday I received a call from my SR! It was a tough call for both of us but I knew that I needed to be strong for him. He needed to let out some pent up frustration, stress and general home sickness.
Moms - prepare yourself for that call. Be strong for them. If you are upset on the phone, it'll make it harder for your SR. Moms natural instinct is to fix things but we can't fix this one. The best advice I can give is to just listen, let them get it all out. Then tell them that you love them and keep encouraging them. They need a little pep talk at this point. They WILL make it and be better, stronger for it. Save your own emotion for when you hang up.

I had a brief talk with my son this morning it wasn't the call but he needed information but it was the best four minutes. Also found out that Division 336 starts Hell Week (4-1) on Thursday. Thought I'd share!

My son is also in 336 ship 13, have not heard from on phone, just one letter last week.
if they start hell week, we might not get a call from them till after BS 21..:(
Lame they are in a push division..lol
no news is good news is my new mantra..:)

Well since my son said today he'd get his "real" call this Saturday let's hope you do too. I know of another who hasn't gotten a call yet.
