Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

So happy as well. Received letter yesterday. He 's a lilltle better now, he says.

I did not receive any letter at all either. But he called last Sunday.

My son called his girlfriend on Sunday. He didn't get to speak to her the last time they got to call, so she was due a call. That's understandable, but missing that kid. I'm hoping next week we can see them perform in the PIR! I'm pretty excited about that!

I got my son's 3rd letter today. He is feeling good now. Next week BS 21, then PIR.

Was able to email with my son today. So excite . He sounds good. They finished hell week and this Friday will start being in the graduations

My son has a "Door Orderly" job during PIR on 10/02/15. Does that mean that I will not see him come out of the door?

I think that is what mine is also. I assumed during graduation the next graduation group would be doing the door duty. Would love to know also. I tried to ask my son while emailing on sunday but he did not respond.

The 900 divisions do not march in like the rest of the divisions, but this also means that if your recruit has one of the duties such as "door duty" you may be one of the lucky ones to see your recruit while doing his job before PIR even starts. :)
