Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 369 and 370

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important

Every single concern is genuine

Every single member is important to us

We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Mine did as well. I know his friend does not need his out until next year.

Can someone give me the info for the meet and greet please!! Thanks

Here is the like for the meet and greet!! http://www.mynavytaxi.com/events.html

Not only did I get the phone call this morning, but the 1st real letter comes home.  It so reads as if he is in camp with the 1st sentence "Boot Camp is great".  LOL  He said 369 is a talkative group so they are getting a lot of IT.  And his friends that he has made are all from California.  I'm still laughing from his letter.  He also said the food is good too.

My son is from California, so who knows :)  Maybe they're friends!

Where has anyone else found lodging

I found the Days Inn in Libertyville.  Little more than the Navy Lodge, but I was able to get a bigger room, since there will be 5 of us coming.  Also went for the "pool"  phone is 847-816-8006.  They also have one in Waukegan, but they are about the same distance from the base.

I found lots of hotel info in the form letter that he sent home.  This also has free breakfast!

I got the Days Inn Great Lakes. Is yours closer to the base than this one??

I got us a room at Sleep Inn. We are also signed up for Sarge's meet and greet the night before
We did Holiday Inn Express, also in Libertyville. They had the breakfast and shuttle to graduation included.

TheRocksmom...same thing happened to me at work yesterday....i saw that 847 area code and I ran outside the front office. Scared me to death at first, but he laughed and said "they told us we're supposed to call".....ha ha  I kept saying what's wrong, what's wrong? Are you okay?  Sure was NOT expecting that call so soon.  Then a letter in the mail yesterday. Great day.  My son is Div 369. He sounded good, and his letter was upbeat.  Silliness all in the letter, just like him.

He will be going to Goose Creek after boot camp.  Any other Nukes in Div 369 or 370?

I knew my son would hate the whitie tightie underwear....so I promised him yesterday that I would bring his boxers for after PIR.  His response was, "Mom, most of us aren't even wearing our underwear ".... cracks me up!  He said their PFA went okay, but all of the "motivational exercises" (IT) they have been doing are making the body a bit sore.  He said they have had no mail yet- BUT they see the stacks of letters sitting there for them.  They should hopefully pass mail out soon.  Poor kids, it's taunting them, I'm sure.
